No. Velvet doesnt hold this die well unless its cotton. These dyes do terrible with synthetics.

You can try this on outdoor cushion covers. However, this works best on 100% cotton, linen, ramie and rayon; wool, silk and polyester/cotton mixes will dye to lighter shades. We recommend testing the product on a like-material sample swatch prior to starting your project to ensure the results meet your needs and expectations. Q: How many pieces will this be good for?

"One pack dyes up to 1/2 lb. fabric" according to the packaging. That's like 1 tee shirt. But it depends how true to the packaging you want the color to be. If you want like bright lime green jeans use 2 or 3 packs on cotton or you don't care that it's more light yellow green then use 1. Also can get more uses if tye dyeing or ice dyeing.
