New Balance Men's FuelCell Supercomp Elite V4 Running Shoes

Great shoes for longer, fast runs. Assistance from plate really helps as fatigue kicks in. Digs into back of ankles a bit but getting better as they break in.

I previously had the V3's, and while those had a breaking-in period and some hotspots, these V4's are nearly a perfect fit. I did some sprints with them today and it felt like I was flying. I'll be going on a long run with them this weekend, but I expect that they will hold up. Buying running shoes is usually a challenge for me since I need to shop for Wides, but these V4's are a slam dunk!

The tongue of the shoe, yes, pretty garbage. Going to blister near the Achilles as well, based on the design of the shoe. Pros: propels you forward based on the design—light, but not the lightest carbon plate shoe, but still very light. Good support for heel runners; the color and design scheme look flashy, but not too much. Overall, a good starter super shoe compared to Nike's quality.

They fit nice and snug, but the back digs into my ankle. It belt like an actual knife cutting into my ankle when I was just walking. Shame because the carbon plates definitely make you stay on your feet.

Comfortable, springy, great fit! I love running in these shoes so much I want them to be my daily runner. The price makes it hard to justify as a daily runner though. So mostly I'll use these the final few weeks up to and including races and then back to my regular shoes for regular training.

To be honest, I returned these BUT its because I need 4E shoes. When I put them on to try, it did have a lot of bounce. These are for sure race day shoes, I can't see them lasting for more than 150-200 miles. I have herniated discs and need a good pair of shoes, these are great but not made to be every day shoes. Depends on your mileage I suppose, I'd likely tear through these in a month if I were to use them as daily running shoes. Super comfy, style is nice, sizing is correct. Wish they made a 4E version
