CarharttMen's Rain Defender® Relaxed Fit Lightweight Insulated Hooded Jacket

I love this jacket! It’s perfectly lightweight, has just the right amount of insulation, blocks the wind and cold no problem as well as light rain. I wore it today in 30° F weather with only a t shirt on underneath and I swear I was sweating. It’s so well made, has lined pockets for warming your hands with a snap button closure. The inside has two chest pockets, one zip and one Velcro. I am usually and XL in shirts and jackets and ordered the XL tall to have extra length and it fits perfectly with room to spare to wear a sweater or another hoodie underneath. I also appreciate the felt lining on the entire zipper inside as well as the top zipper part by the chin, little things that add to comfort and warmth. Just overall a great jacket for the money, very well thought out and well made. Has triple stocked seems on the sleeves and around the shoulders. You will I’ve this jacket, I don’t recommend as a work jacket for trades, more of a nice daily wear jacket for light duty. Better to use a J140 for those work days, which I will buy at a later date. Nice addition to the carhartt collection.

Awesome jacket. Fits true to size and very well made. Waterproof but can also be worn in any cold weather. Lightweight but very warm.

Great jacket all around, perhaps my best jacket. It’s my go-to jacket. The hood is well designed. Most hoods just falls on my eyes when I make them tighter, but these close around my ears more, which blocks out the wind better. The elastic around the cuffs and bottom makes wearing gloves easier and keeps wind from coming up from below. It’s really warm. I wear it for anything from 40-30 degrees. The hand pockets are well sized and lined. I’m really glad I bought it.

I love that carhartt makes fat sizes that actually fit my proportions. This jacket is what I’ve been looking for for the last 3 years. It’s perfect for 20-50 degree weather. I use their Montana for the really cold Michigan winter days. Just the right amount of insulation without the bulk of a heavy coat. Good for dry cold weather. Only annoying feature is the hood pulls, that are cheek level and could be better.
