Goldenseal is a bitter & is never going to taste good but it works. Just put it in capsules so you don’t have to taste it. I keep goldenseal on hand & this one works well & saves me money. No complaints.

This is the best value for goldenseal I have found. It was a little dark,but it was explained that it defended on the crop and conditions it grew in and had nothing to do with the quality. It was perfect.

It might have a little goldenseal in it, but mostly it's starch. It's not even the correct color for goldenseal. Goldenseal is mustard yellowy-green in color. This stuff is beige--and doesn't even mix into water in the same way, because it's not 100% goldenseal. The package doesn't say that--until you look at the list of ingredients and then find out the major component of this stuff is starch! I don't know what what the actual percentage of goldenseal in this is, but it's not high. I've used goldenseal since I was little, but I no longer live by a health food store to buy it so I bought from Amazon from a brand I have used in the past and thought all right, but this isn't all right.

I learned about golden seal from my parents years ago. Seems like it was a lot more bitter than this.The package arrived quickly and in good shape. I tasted the powder and it's not as bitter as I remember golden seal being. Also not as dark in color. But I think it's still effective. Going to keep using it.

We have taken Golden Seal for decades and it was always a challenge because it was so bitter, but this was surprisingly palatable! I keep hearing Julie Andrews singing, "Just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down."! Thank you!

I like goldenseal because it can easily be used when making herbal blends. It offers immune support and very good for making antimicrobial eye drops.

This is advertised as Goldenseal Root but it has a bitter taste like yellow root, which is often passed off as being Goldenseal but is mildly toxic. There is at least some Goldenseal in it, for does help in healing, but it's not as strong as other brands making me believe it has been diluted with a different herb like yellow root.
