KEEN Women's, Elle Backstrap Sandal

Update: I have worn these sandals almost daily for 2 summers now and the shoes still look great. This will be my 3rd summer, and I still love them. They are a good investment for those who need a comfortable shoe that can be worn all day. They are my go-to pair when traveling.The foot bed on these shoes is so comfortable. It's 2 layers of yoga type foam. A squishy top layer and a stiffer lower layer make them feel stable and comfortable. The straps are lined on the inside so there's no rubbing against the heel or across the foot. I have a high arch so the top strap feels a bit snug, but they don't flop around on my feet and are comfortable right out of the box.I would call the colors a muted dusty rose and terra cota. They are a pretty combination that is surprisingly flexible to blend with other earth tones or dark colors. I'll have to be careful to not stain them because they are fabric. No cooking spaghetti sauce while wearing these.I am older now and prefer shoes with a little lift, but only if they help me feel sturdy on my feet. This is my second pair of Keen sandals, and both do that better than any other brand I've tried. I've bought their hiking boots for a few decades now but hadn't considered their sandals. That was a mistake. Keen makes a great everyday sandal for walking on a variety of surfaces, and they last.It has been my experience that my slightly wide feet mean I need to order a half size up in most brands. Sometimes that puts the arch support around my heel. That doesn't happen in keens so maybe they just run a half size smaller than others. They are never too narrow and seldom too long.These are worth the price if you keep your shoes for years. They are ideal if you do a lot of walking. They'll be my go to for traveling.

The arch of the shoe is in the perfect spot for my foot, which rarely happens for me. I ordered my normal shoe size. I appreciate that they’re cute while still being so functional and multi-purpose.They make a flip flop sound as I walk, which I wasn’t expecting from a sandal with multiple straps. I think that this would be less noticeable if you had a higher instep (which I don’t). After walking for a few minutes, I completely tune out the noise.The deeper tread and grip of the bottom soles appear to be durable. The straps don’t dig into the tops of my feet. They rubbed a small amount my first time wearing them, but not enough to get a blister. With time, the straps should soften enough to be perfect!I got this shoe while it was on sale for $50 and it is definitely worth buying these for that price!

So glad I bought them! Decided to trust the reviews and give them a try. They are perfect for what I wanted. The straps are soft and hold the sandal effortlessly on my foot. They seem very sturdy. Comfortable for all day wear. The style is neutral enough to dress up or down. A great option for summer travel or everyday wear. I think they run short though. Had to size up a half from my normal size. Worth the investment.

These shoes are definitely cuter "in person" than online. I was worried they would be clunky or matronly, but they are not. They are nice enough to wear with a dress/skirt, but casual enough to wear with shorts or outdoorsy gear. Beware that these shoes are narrow, so if you have wide feet, they may not work for you. I have very narrow feet and the width is perfect. My only complaint is that the strap that goes over the top of the foot, near the ankle, is too tight. I do have high-arched feet, so maybe that is why. When I opened the box and looked at the shoes, however, the tiny space between the ankle strap and the one over the top of the foot told me it would not be comfortable. Sadly, I'm not sure if I'll keep them because of that. The strap over the toes has plenty of space. The sandals are well-cushioned and feel like they'd be great for walking and will last.

I bought these for a two week trip to Italy and found they were extremely comfortable for use up to about 15K-20K steps per day before I needed to switch out to my running shoes. They go with any outfit, are extremely durable, are easy to clean, have gentle arch support, and have ample cushioning, all which make these my new go-to sandal! They also provide excellent traction on wet cobblestones and unpaved trails.

I have never worn a more comfortable, well-fitting, trendy, and well structured shoe!!! I have Rheumatoid Arthritis all over my body, but my feet are seriously affected. I also need instep support due to bone issues. I wore them today with no pain, no rubbing or blisters!!! I can seriously recommend them. Size was true to my normal size. It pays dividends to invest in a great pair of shoes.

These are cute, but I was worried about the material of both the straps and the insole. The straps felt scratchy, and the insole has absolutely no moisture wicking properties. If your feet sweat at all, it's going to be a slip-and-slide. They were very cushy and comfortable underfoot. I wear a 10W and the 10W fit great.

These are cute and so comfy. Bought for a trip but have been wearing them everywhere. They seem very durable and good quality. Size is spot on.
