Can I get a mm measurement for the female and male. Ordered a couple of adapters that have been the wrong size even though they shouldn't have been.

Hi,You need to be careful with the size measurement of plumbing fittings. BSP sizes don't match up with the scale on a ruler (there's loads of info on the web if you google it). That might be why you've had problems with unexpected sizes.The 1/2 inch BSP male thread measures about 20.5mm (roughly the same size as a 1p coin), the 3/4 BSP female thread measures about 24.5mm (roughly the same size as a 2p coin).Most shower hoses use a 1/2 inch BSP thread.

I have purchased an Ionic show head that is too large for my shower hose (assumed all are universal) is this what i need to enlarge the hose end

If you measure the outside of the thread on the end of the shower head where it is threaded this will fit if its just over 1 inch Actually 1.041 inch (26.44mm) as that is actual diameter of 3/4 BSP (G3/4) pipe thread, it comes from being the outside diameter of 3/4 inch bore pipe.

Can this be used to join a 3 way shower diverter to the water outlet

I used this to enable a new shower hose to be fitted to a bath mixer unit as the new shower hose connector had been reduced in size from the original. It works perfectly and as it is only a connector it should be able to accept the water pressure.

Does this adapter come with a rubber seal?

3/4" and 1/2" rubber seals are not included.

Sometimes it is all you need

Taking over a 50-year-old bathroom, the flexible shower pipe and head needed replacing.Sadly the connector on the new pipe we had ordered was a different gauge from the original. First thought was to ditch the new parts and buy a new set of the appropriate gauge.Fortunately, I came to Amazon first to see whether a suitable adaptor was available. It was and a day after I was pleased to be able to instal the new pipe and head, with no problem at all.Definitely recommended.

Amazing something this small is so useful!

If you have a tap fitted and want to add a new hose but, that hose is too small, you need one of these. It screws onto your tap and then the hose screws on to it, that simple.

Alright but....

Arrived well ahead of schedule but for some reason it's showing as "sorry it's late......we can send another..." type apology, when I arrived over 2 weeks ago 🤔So it arrives and I fit it to a Bristan mixer unit, using the washer supplied and a wrap plus overlap of Rothernberger PTFE tape. And it leaked like a sieve. Turn off water at the Pegler isolating valves, dismantle, then reassemble with 2 wraps of fresh PTFE tape. Turn on the isolating valves and it still leaks. Repeat above procedure with 4 wraps of PTFE tape and success 👏👏. There's very obviously a sizable manufacturing tolerance in this reducer and at almost £5 that's pretty unforgivable,but we got there.
