Does this hair removal device come with a single A battery ?

It's a rechargeable battery, not sure what type. I charged it per instructions before 1 st use; used it several times on my face over about 4-6 weeks.

Are additional replacement heads available for purchase?

You should be able to get them on Amazon. Look in the same area as the shavers. I haven’t had to order any yet but that is where they should be.

Does the flawless razor heads fit this product? Eventually I will run out of the ones it comes with.

I put my first generation Flawless heads on just to see and they fit. But If I was going to order them I would order the second generation blades because the Profeir blades would not fit my Flawless.

Is this gold plated or just gold colored?

Gold color. Would be gold plated for that price. However it work’s very well.
