Great Budget Option
This helmet works like a charm. It darkens as soon as I strike an arc and goes back to normal as soon as the arc is gone. You do get what you pay for though- it feels a little cheap, but that doesn't affect performance at all. For people just started welding or hobbyists I highly recommend.

Cost effective
I love my welding helmet in which I brought just days ago to aide while in welding school. I purchased the one that comes with all the cool stickers as well.Great buy highly recommended!!!!

Great for the price
I've had this helmet for a few months, it's a good helmet for a beginner, it's comfortable and adjusts well. it tends to run a little dark even on 9. it did however come missing the magnifying lens.

Great value
Great value! I’ve used this a fee times with my TIG welder at around 130A and had no issue with the level of protection. The darkening feels instantaneous, and the viewing window size is perfectly fine. I like the test button inside the mask to let you make sure darkening works before starting the arc.The material is a flexible plastic, which feels pretty durable. Ive been using it in my garage in the winter in upstate NY, and expected the plastic to get more brittle or fragile from the cold, but it hasnt. It feels reasonably durable, but the hinges are made of a hard plastic that feels like theyll be the first thing to break. The size of the helmet and head band is great. It’s very adjustable, and ive worn it on my bare head (hat size medium) and with a thick winter hat on (extra in diameter) with no trouble. The only sticking point is when you raise the mask, the hinges lock lightly in place to keep it open, but are a little weak. The mask tends to fall down if you move your head too much. Maybe i need to tighten the hinges or something, but that’s my only real complaint. For $40, it’s hard to beat the value.

IF YOU HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT WELDING HELMETS BUT NEED ONE, GET THIS ONE!
This helmet is AWESOME, especially for the price point. The cheapest helmet I could get at any of the big name Home improvement stores was fixed lens only and for more than double the price. This one has the auto darkening feature so you don’t have to pull it off just to see where you’re actually welding, it keeps my head enclosed and fully covered. It’s a large viewing area, and it comes with extra parts. I’m only a beginning welder and I was overwhelmed with the many decisions this new hobby required me to make…for anyone that feels like they’re in a similar boat— GET THIS HELMET IF YOU NEED ONE AND DON’T KNOW WHICH TO GET! It’s a quality piece at a stellar value.

Why pay for a more expensive helmet...this one works great!
Other than the directions being a bit hard to understand, once you figure out what they are telling you to do, using the welding helmet is really easy. It seems well made, and the screen works as advertised...it turns black in less than the blink of an eye.

Clear view of MIG weld puddle
Way better than my 10 year old helmet. Can actually see clearly what I’m welding!

Good helmet for the price Is sensitivity nob
Decent helmet for the priceThe only thing I see wrong with it is.There's no control on the darkness. It's either on or off There is a sensitivity and a delay switch knob I have it on this [lowest settings and sensitivity And I could barely see my work Other than that[up date ] My bad it does have a shade control on the left hand side front For the darkness of the screen. Sorry guys an Ladies
