Q: are these lights 120 watts each or for the pair? or is it 240 watts for the pair?

I think the 120W is an equivalent rating - i.e. each unit gives the same light output as a 120W incandescent bulb. (or 2.5 highbeam headlights!) This does NOT indicate their power consumption. At 12.66V on the battery each unit draws 2.14A of power - i.e. 27W. Both together take 4.28A or 54W of power. Because these are LED units their power draw (Amps) will not change much as the battery voltage changes; they don't behave like regular incandescent bulbs. So at 14V for a lead acid battery with the engine running they will take only 2.2A or so (= 28W of power) Both together might run off a 5A fuse, but a 10A fuse will last longer and be more reliable. Remember the fuse is there to protect the WIRING not the light.

In the description it says: (40x3W)=120W. If you look each light has two rows of 10 highlight chips, 20 in each light. So the 120W rating is for both light, 60W each. The wire size in the light cables is 22AWG. The amp draw will be low regardless if you use 12V or 24V power source.

Great lights for the price.

Amazing and very bright.im definitely buying these again.i put them on the back of my semi for working at night.they lit up the sky like it was daylight and made it easy to do my job.

I would still love them at twice the price

These are amazing for the money. Feels like quality construction. The mounting bracket works great. The hardware feels decent and they give you a shorter and longer bolt option. They are very bright and it is true that they combine a flood and a spot so they light up the immediate area very well and still reach out to the distance brighter than a car headlight. I combined them with a magnetic base mount and 2.5mm jack to make a quick connect feature. I stick them on my large tractors Roll Over Protection. With the magnetic base I flip it backwards when I am working with attachments and backing up a lot or I flip them front facing when I am working with the loader that blocks my headlights. I would definitely recommend Nilight LED lighting.

Bright Lights!

I bought these to use them as reverse lights for my truck, & they work exceptionally well for the purpose. The 6” frame fits perfect where I placed them, & they provide just the amount of light needed to do what’s asked of them. I wired the positive to the reverse light cable that was connected to my Trailer light port, so they come on as soon as the truck is put in reverse. I mounted the negative to the frame of the truck.The only reason why I gave them 4 Stars & not 5? Is because I really wish they had a Left & Right wired light, so the cable coming out of the light was on the other side of it, which would make it look cleaner & easier to dress up. But over all, I’m really happy with these lights & couldn’t have been happier with the price point.Hope this helps you make a decision, & you like them as much as I do-

Back-up lights for a boat

I was always having problems backing my boat into a single car garage. I installed these lights on my boat and now can see into my garage as I back the trailer up. Plenty of light and they work off of the trolling motor battery.
