When I took one of my Cats to the Vet last year for a check up, I told the Vet that although my 2 Cats are indoor, I noticed them itching a lot and that my other half was around his Parent's cat who used to be outdoors and once brought in Fleas to my old cat that has passed. To try to prevent this, we treated my 2 indoor cats but the medicines were very expensive and I noticed they used a comb similar to this to check for fleas. It was something I could do at home so I purchased this set just to have the combs around to check them at times. It was worth it because at one point, we did take a flea off one of my cats! I would have never known because they do not go outside. This doesn't fix the problem of a flea infestation in which I was lucky to never have but it can do a quick check if need be.

Had a scare of my granddaughter being next to another child with head lice. Got these just to check and make sure she didn’t have any. Also works on pets when bathing them and making sure they have no fleas! Alternative to toxic medications. Just use coconut oil and use these combs!

Its okay and the metal "picks" were okay as well but it just seems akward to use if doing it yourself and not as efficient as a "comb" with handle style IMO.
