This is my first time soldering and even without flux it does a great job. It melts at 300 degrees for me with a brand new solder pen.

I’ve been using this solder for about a year now on various hobby electronics projects so I can give a good review on this now.I’ve used this solder for many different applications from soldering heavy gauge liPO battery connectors to smaller electronic circuit repairs.It flows very well and produces strong, shiny joints.There is a good amount of flux in the solder, and if you work reasonably quickly with it you shouldn’t need any additional flux.As is the same with all unleaded solder, if you spend too long with this solder melted it will go crumbly and dull, but this can be remedied by adding a bit of fresh solder to freshen it back up.The fumes aren’t too bad with this, no strong smells to mention but always worth having some ventilation anyway.I think this roll will last me at least another 2 years yet it’s never ending. If it’s still available then I’ll buy this one again.
