Condensed, just add water.
It takes a few weeks for the hummingbirds find it. They must really love the taste because even though I have 2 bird feeders, they fight for it. Bright red color nectar, lasts all summer long, refrigerate the bottle after opening. Easy to dilute with tap water or bottle water. Fun to watch the little hummingbirds feeding especially in the hot summer days.

Amazing
The media could not be loaded. This is the only hummingbird liquid that our hummingbirds here in Anacortes like to drink. I've tried multiple different kinds...I've also tried to making my own. Nothing else worked. I did try to follow the mixing directions but they just weren't having it. So I do 1 part concentrate to 1 part water with a couple teaspoons of sugar. Our hummingbirds have a super sweet tooth. I used to live about 15 miles from here and the hummingbirds didn't like super sweet liquid I could always follow the directions and they would enjoy it. So if you aren't getting hummingbirds try adding more concentrate a little less water. Easy to mix, pretty color, great quality!

Still no hummingbirds this season...
Still no hummingbirds this season. Hopefully we get more, and they discover the feeder, they'll be more. But still I think the continuously repeating video in the ad, suggesting a flock of hummingbirds at all times, is a bit much.

Contains RED Dye
I was not aware that there is a slight controversy over using hummingbird nectar that contains red dye. Google and see for yourself. I found this: "Red Dye No. 40, also known as Allura Red, replaced it as the most widely used red food coloring. This dye has been FDA approved and is used in the food industry. Although it’s approved for human consumption, there is still some suspected risk, particularly in affecting children with behavioral issues. Studies have found that when rats were given high doses of Red Dye No. 40, they had an increased risk of developing tumors. There’s no solid proof of dyes leading to tumors or other adverse effects in hummingbirds, but there is much anecdotal evidence from experienced bird rehabilitators. While more research is needed, it is best to avoid using food products that contain this dye, as well as any other synthetic food dyes."HAD I KNOWN THE ABOVE, I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT. IT IS NOT RETURNABLE, EVEN IF UNOPENED. So, best to do research before purchasing. Why take a chance because I later found this: "Making hummingbird nectar at home is unbelievably easy, and it’s much better for the birds than store-bought nectar with red dye. To make hummingbird nectar, simply mix four parts water with one part sugar. That’s it! No need to add any food coloring or other ingredients. Be sure to use regular white table sugar, as brown sugar or honey can cause problems for the birds. Change the nectar every few days to keep it fresh, and be sure to clean your hummingbird feeder regularly with hot, soapy water."Enjoy!
