Takes time but it really works
I have been using this for a number of weeks and I can finally see a difference. The first couple of weeks I thought nothing was happening but I read it may take several weeks to break down the iron in the tear stains. Our dog is a 6 lb poodle maltese mix.It says to rub in a circular motion for 60-120 seconds, try telling Ella that haha! 60 seconds to a dog is a long time. I have to hold her nose so she stays still and since her face is so little I just go back and forth, sort of up and down. At first I was only rubbing down but when I started going both ways it has worked much better. The pads are small but I still have to fold them down to a usable size for my tiny love. I also have to ring the pad out but that's not a problem. I even use my finger to gently rub the excess soap in the affected area.We are the most successful when my husband holds her while I work on her face. I tried to do it myself once and she was too wriggly, like a toddler LOL. Ah, what we do for our pets.So be patient and you and your dog will get used to it like anything else. Always give lots of praise and maybe a snack when you're done with the process. In my opinion this product really works!

Easy to use, good results!
I ordered these wipes to try on my Yorkie-poo. He has tear stains and we have different things to help with the staining under this eyes. I have tried only distilled water for him to drink and that helped some and we clean the area with a cotton wash cloth everyday. I saw these and thought I would try these. I have been using them for a few days now and the first thing we noticed is when you wipe the area as directed it loosens up the gunk that gets in his hair under his eyes. All of the buildup has loosened up and we were able to clean it out of his hair. We bathed him and after the bath the staining has lightened up a lot. His eyes look much better! I am anxious to see after long term use. I will definitely buy these again! If you are looking for something to help clean up the tear stains on your favorite pet these do give good results! Bentley hasn’t shown any signs that the wipes irritate him and he looks better without all that build up in his hair! I posted a before and I will post an after pic after I have used them for a few weeks. This has worked better than anything else I have tried and makes cleaning that area so much easier when bathing because they remove all gunk that builds up there.

So far so good. Within the relm of expectations.
I have a 3year old maltese, we've been using this product almost daily for a week and I've seen some improvement. His tear stains had gotten worst in the last few month because of a switch to food containing grains. I am now back to feeding him grain-free to prevent further tear staining. This product is helping to break up and diffuse the existing stains. My dogs stains were super clearly defined so I sort of rubbed the pads under his eyes and muzzle area (not too close to the mouth). It's true that it does sort of spread the stain around a bit. But overall the area of heavily concentrated reddish brown is almost gone. Now we just have some general disfused staining to treat. I also use a small tooth brush to brush the product in a slick down the hairs so they don't get in his eyes or mouth.

Photo makes product look larger than it is!
Tear stain wipes work OK however they are so small I find them difficult to use. The photo makes them look larger than they actually are.

BEWARE - CAN BE HARMFUL
I purchased these eye wipe pads and also a bottle of the liquid version. Plan was to keep wipes downstairs to use after morning feeding and keep liquid upstairs in bathroom to use before bed. After the first day of this routine our fur baby woke up with a very red and swollen eye. This also coincided with just going to the groomer 3 days before so my initial thought was maybe he got a small cut and it became infected. We took him to the vet that day and started a topical antibiotic. For two days I only used a warm washcloth to gently wipe his eyes and the swelling and redness were almost entirely gone. On the 3rd day his eye looked perfect so I used a wipe in the morning and by that night it was completely swollen and red again! The vet obviously recommended to stop using this product because it was now clear that it was causing a severe allergic reaction. This clearly may not happen to every dog, but please use with caution if you do choose to purchase this brand. These were already rather pricey compared to other options...adding a vet bill to it made it worse.

BUY THIS - IT WORKS!
TERRIFIC PRODUCT. I ordered these to remove the staining and crustiness from the eyes of my 9 month old Havanese. This is the ONLY product that has worked. Is it magic potion? No. You need to use it consistently according to the instructions, and IT WORKS.Now - about those instructions... HILARIOUS! The best, most entertaining 'How-to' manual I've ever received. Sean in Customer Service emailed me the manual the day before the product arrived (these folks are on top of things!). He followed up to see how things were working. The thin, soft pads are very easy to use. The product does not need to be rinsed off - on my pup, it dried within half an hour (remember, he has hair, not fur) leaving zero residue. My dog even tries to lick the stuff. Doesn't bother him at all. I'm able to use one pad for both eyes.Very highly recommended!!

My dog hated it
I never saw much of a difference in the tear stains. My puppy would fight me and seemed to hate this. Every time I would open the package he would go crazy. I finally gave up. It wasn’t worth the battle. I tried a different product someone else recommended. He lets me wipe his eyes no problem. I use a cotton round just like with this product. I think there is something in this product that hurts his eyes for him to respond that way.
