Functional and versatile SFP copper transceiver
This transceiver worked great in another switch I purchased from Amazon with a no-name Chinese company. I also used it in media converters (fiber to copper) for connecting directly to my computer. It automatically negotiates the speed and was extremely easy to install. It was also compatible in my Intel X710 network card that runs the network for my server to connect to my coax cable modem. The fact this SFP supports multiple speed options is also great because I connected it to a switch with only 10G but it worked fine connected to a 2.5G copper RJ45 jack without any errors, so it must negotiate and rate limit within itself.

Good value
Great as advertised. Be careful you get correct ones. I didn't realize there was more than just speed to worry about compatibility wise.

Runs hot
Works like a charm, but very hot. Stayed within the documented temperature range/norms when I checked with my thermal camera so I don't expect any issues. The heat makes me nervous for my kids long term however, so I am using this as a short term stopgap.

Works great with mikrotik switches
Now can get 2.5G speeds without the need to buy a 2.5G switch. Just buy cheap 10G SFP switch.

Failed after about 45 days of use
Update: 10GTek reached out to me and offered a refund if I returned the adapter. The thing that I most appreciate, however, is they asked for a lot of information about my system and how it failed. They want to test the returned unit to see why it was acting this way. I can't ask more of a company than to stand behind their products and try to better them as they find issues. I would be very comfortable buying more products from them knowing now that they will stand behind their products past the 30 day return window. This worked great for about 45 days as the WAN adapter on my Ubiquiti UDM, then all of a sudden I started having all kinds of speed problems, latency, and dropped packets. It correctly negotiated the port speed on the ethernet side (5Gb) and never ran hot. I thought it was an ISP issue but when I removed this adapter and went straight into the 1Gb ethernet WAN all of my problems went away. This is absolute junk and now the return window is closed.

Works with Ubiquity Dream Machine Pro
Works great with my Ubiquity Dream Machine Pro. Plugged it in and it just worked. Well worth it for 10 Gbps connection to my switch using CAT 6a patch cable.

Working on a Mellanox NIC
Confirmed compatibility with Mellanox ConnectX3 series 10/25Gb dual port card. Used in a custom PfSense firewall gateway. Only complaint I might have is that it's reporting a 10Gb link, even though it's connected to a 2Gb port on a cable modem. This is minor though, it is connected, and I'm getting close to 900Mb throughput from my broadband, compared to the 420Mb i used to max out. (this is mostly due to properly configuring stream limiters in pfSense I think, not necessarily this gbic)One aside when dealing with these rebranded MC cards, firmware on this card had already been reverted to OEM from the Dell it started with, and downgraded a couple versions back for it to properly accept a 1GB module of another brand. So i can't say whether this module would have required this to happen as well, but if you have difficulty with it in a Dell/HP version of a Mellanox card, this is likely what you'll also have to do--those versions of the firmware had locked out the use of non-optical/3rd party modules. They really wanted you to only use their Dell fiber modules only.
