OMG, these are awesome!
Being a nurse, I didn't learn about using hydrocolloid patches for cold sores here. However, I have never used a hydrocolloid patch that is this snug on my skin. When my cold sore came up, I started using these other patches made for acne, but with my work, I have to wear an N95, and the sweat and humid conditions caused me to have to change them about once every hour, and with changing them comes washing my hands before and after, drying the area etc. So, the other ones weren't terribly convenient. But THIS patch doesn't require all the changing of patches. It is stuck TIGHT and waterproof for 12-14 hours! I even wore one while working in my hot, humid garage for hours, and it didn't budge even with sweat pouring off my face.PLUS, one of my least favorite things about having a cold sore is worrying about spreading it to other areas of my face or giving it to my husband or kids. I get PARANOID about it. When I wore the other patches, I was worried about my youngest trying to pull it off of my lip when I held her. But these patches are nearly invisible, so my toddlers didn't even notice it.Best of all, I have learn from previous sores that hydrocolloid patches tend to cut my healing time in HALF, and I don't even have to get to a certain product as early as possible like I did when using docosanol. When I finally got around to treating this latest sore, it was an angry, red cluster of yellow vesicles that looked like they'd burst if I even looked at it the wrong way. But I put on a patch, and by the time it was falling off (about an hour with those zit patches), the liquid had already crossed the membrane and it was looking much less angry. So, I will admit, I didn't start with these patches this time around. I ran out of my usual patches (just a generic brand hydrocolloid patch made for acne), and I needed more. So I hopped on here to look for a replacement, and these came up in my search. I'm SO glad they did, and I definitely would have bought these first if I had known just how watertight, invisible, and long lasting these were! Not gonna lie, I thought they might be too big when I got them, but I think they need to be in order to give you 12-14 hours of watertight wear and so that they'll fit when your lesion is at its swollen and angriest. I just allowed part of the patch to lay off of the red part of my lip, on my skin. I was also worried about potentially wasting one due to the price (I get like 80 of the ones for acne for less money than these), however, the way they apply is actually easier than the other type, with no tweezers or applicators needed, and these are so secure for so long that they are absolutely WORTH the money!I can't say enough about these patches! I wish I had found these when I was 16 and got my first cold sore. It would have saved me over two decades of embarrassment and given me so many more comfortable days of my life back.I'll end my review with this: buy them. You WON'T regret it!

BUY IT! It 100% works
I have 3 active cold sores of a significant size. When I ordered these there was a single blister 3/25 and it was small. I decided to try these patches instead of Abreva. The next morning 3/26 I had 3 big blisters filled with pus. As soon as I received these (same day 3/26 4pm) I put one on. Following morning 3/27 all 3 had gone down in size and starting to heal. Today 3/28 they are even smaller and don’t itch or anything. No scabs so far, these usually take 2 weeks to heal when I use Abreva. These definitely cut down on that timeframe. They stay on full 12 hrs. You can’t feel it’s there, and it camouflages the sores. Highly recommend!

Lifesaver for Cold Sores – Heals & Hides Beautifully!
This product was perfect for treating my cold sores! Not only did it help with speeding up the healing process, but it also made it so much easier to keep them hidden under makeup. It’s thin and discreet, but still protective enough to keep the area clean and covered. I felt way more confident going out while using these, and they stayed in place really well. If you’re looking for something that works AND blends in, this is a must-have. Highly recommend!

Revolutionary. Exceptionally sticky.
These are really good for covering up cold sores. They are as described when they say they are practically invisible. Nobody noticed I had two on. They stick insanely well, might I say, TOO well. As long as you clean the area before hand, the adhesive will stay on over 12 hours, even if you sweat. I was actually amazed because my upper lip sweats a lot and I thought it would fall off, but it stayed on despite the sweat. As far as getting rid of the cold sore, I couldn’t really tell. But that’s because my cold sore was weird because I caught it so quick, it never really blistered. But I did notice that these pulled out some gunk. Only reason I give 4 stars is because the adhesive actually hurt to pull off (even after having it on for 12+ hours).

Little miracles!
Anyone that gets cold sores/fever blisters, this is a MUST HAVE! I've used a cream in the past but I haven't had 1 in so long I didn't have anything on hand this time so I tried these and wow! I had gotten the first tingle & itch and by the next day a small red bump was starting right on the edge of my lip. These came within 24hrs and I applied the 1st one as soon as I got them. They are tricky, as I almost threw away the piece w/ the actual patch on it. There is a clear plastic tab and a teak plastic protective cover. The patch is on the clear tab, NOT THE TEAL PLASTIC COVER! Peel the clear tab, being careful not to touch anything but the rounded edge to pull. Throw away the teal plastic cover. The clear patch is on the clear tab and it is super difficult to see.Make sure ur skin is dry, no oils or creams or anything. Stretch ur skin so it's taut and place the patch on it. Press it down so all the edges are sealed, holding it down for several seconds to make sure. Sometimes it took a little longer than others so I would carefully peel back the side of the clear applicator tab to see if the patch was adhered before pulling the whole tab away. Once it is fully adhered, carefully pull the clear plastic applicator tab away. Smooth down the patch while keeping ur skin nice and taut.It was completely invisible! I couldn't believe my eyes! Not only could I not see the patch, but it concealed the growing bump somewhat and I could see how easily u can apply make-up over it if needed.Instantly, I had no symptoms! No tingling, no itching, gone like magic!!!! What is this sorcery????It lasted ALL DAY even under a hot sweaty silicone face mask, through talking, eating and drinking, no problems! It says up to 12hrs relief, so I made the mistake of thinking I NEEDED to take it off after 12hrs... but u don't! U should leave it on as long as it stays on & as long as it's providing relief. So after 12hrs when I pulled it off, I found I had to pull all the edges up carefully and pull the opposite edges AWAY from each other, NOT pulling the patch away from the skin. Pulling the sides away from each other caused it to come loose naturally without pulling the skin and came up without hurting or breaking the skin. If u pull it up and away from the skin, u could break the skin and defeat the purpose, further delaying healing.Really u should leave it until it is falling off on its own. It says in the directions to leave on a long as it stays on. I was able to get more than 24hrs adhesion and relief with ONE PATCH! if u leave it until its ready to fall off on its own, it comes off, super easily, without pulling, and I found it helped healing much more. I simply kept each patch on until it was ready to be removed (u will notice the edges start to come up and when u pull a little u will feel theres very little adhesion left). I would just clean the area w/ some witch Hazel (or use another cleaning drying agent), and put another patch on.Normally w/ a cream, it would take at least 5-7 days to scab and then another 5-7 days for the scab to heal. If I was really lucky to catch it at very first tingle, maybe I could shorten it by a couple of days. It may not have gotten as big and awful but it still went thru the same process basically. But with the patch, it NEVER turned into anything! It stayed the small red bump and then disappeared over 4-5 days. It never got any bigger, it never turned into a scab, nothing!!!! I probably could have stopped treatment end of day 4 when the patch came off naturally, but there was still a little red mark, not raised, but just a little red, and i didnt want to take any chances being this is my 1st time using them. I put another fresh patch and end of day 5, the patch came off and there was nothing! I'm in complete shock. These are incredible! I can't believe how well they work and how well they conceal! I had to look so hard in the mirror to see the patch...it really is unbelievable. The key is to really follow the directions. Like I said, dont remove them before they are ready to fall off! Make sure the skin is super dry and they are applied well. They are worth every penny!!!! I highly recommend!
