Excellent for those who work with animals
I assist with animal rescue transport. Usually we handle cats in carriers, but occasionally a dog needs a ride. In most cases the dogs are easy to deal with, and will willingly hop in and out of the car. I was motivated to buy these gloves after an experience with a frightened and overwhelmed husky-shepherd mix. She did not want to get into the car, But once she did and we reached our destination, she was equally reluctant to come out. As I reached for her leash, she indicated her dissatisfaction with a "warning bite" that I had not expected. The bite did not break the skin, but I definitely felt it and declined to touch her again. The next day, I ordered these gloves. They are genuine suede leather, very thick and sturdy, and they cover the entire arm, well past the elbow. In the unlikely event that a dog is scared enough to communicate with its teeth in the future, I will have the protection I need. Who knows? They might even be helpful dealing with an overwrought cat.

Repels chicken bites
I have a Chicken named Dove that bites my husband regularly, but never me. I bought these gloves to protect his arms, and he says they work great. We can't comment on heat resistance, but the glove (he only needs one) allows my husband to gather eggs without bloodshed!

A level of protection for Hognose
I have very small hands with long skinny fingers. I have to get small in regular exam/dish gloves for my fingers to fit and my hands still don't fit. I have an adult male Hognose who is a very defensive little man so I wanted to have a little protection should his bluff striking turn into an actual bite during feeding time. Dexterity is minimal in these especially for me, I can barely hold the feeding tongues and f/t hopper mouse so sometimes I skip the tongs and just grab the hopper with the glove. Some Hognoses tame, others not so much and I have the latter, it's been 2 years of attempting to socialize him and he's just as defensive and goes what I call 'cobra mode' no matter what. At least with these I'm very confident if he actually did bite me. The most he could do is scratch me should he get lucky through these since he's not a big boy and is rear fang 'venomous'. I can easily slip my hand out of the glove if he were to latch and chew. He's confident enough to never resort to playing dead so he doesn't think I'm a fatal threat at least plus he huffs at me on feeding day until I appease him.

Great Protection
I bought these gloves because of a feral neighborhood cat that we Trapped Neutered and Released. We needed to take care of the cat after surgery due to a complication and the cat would bite down hard. Although I could feel the pressure of their bite, these gloves protected me from the cat puncturing my skin. They also protected me from the cat's nails! Dexterity is not great, but they were perfect for what I needed.

Smelly and too big for small cat
The odor is absolutely crazy. It sticks on your hands, even after washing them and the cat is also afraid of them because of the smell and the thickness is too much. It’s too bulky for a small cat.

Bad A……………
I purchased these to clip the nails on my oldest cat, this is a cat the vet won’t see unless she’s put under & knocked out cold, she is a great cat & loving but only on her terms. Most of the time she’ll disembowel you. Until I used these gloves, then she was powerless! AWESOME GLOVES highly recommended

Unusual sizing and no cleaning instructions
The construction seems fine. The materials are good. However, the gloves are difficult to use because the fingers are short in comparison to the overall palm size. The palm is too big and the fingers are too short, so it’s hard to do anything that requires even a little dexterity. Sizing is difficult because of this. Also, no instructions were included for cleaning the gloves. They are ok for handling a difficult small dog but I wouldn’t trust them for use with larger animals.
