Very good fits and works well
I’m short and this headrest is still good. I sit on a pillow and so my head rests nicely on it. The material is nice and slightly stretchy to provide a cushion feel. It is a pretty heavy piece so be sure to secure the headrest with the provided tool.

Perfect Addition to the Aeron Chair
This headrest for the Aeron Chair is a brilliant addition to an already outstanding chair. It not only works seamlessly but also complements the chair's design aesthetic beautifully. This headrest offers an impressive range of adjustability, allowing you to tailor it to your exact needs. While it's true that it's not the most budget-friendly accessory, it's in line with the Aeron Chair's premium quality, and I expected such an investment. My primary reason for getting this headrest was to improve my posture while sitting, and it has delivered on that front superbly. It's a must-have if you value comfort and ergonomics in your workspace. Its performance, design compatibility, and posture-improving capabilities make it an excellent investment for anyone seeking the utmost comfort and support while working or sitting.

Easy to Install and Vital Component
When I got my Herman Miller chair off of Facebook Marketplace a few years ago, I was highly pleased with it but felt that it was missing something: a headrest. I thought that I needed to purchase a larger chair but upon browsing Amazon one day, this popped up and it was instantly what I was looking for! When I finally received the product, I noted the high quality. It was solid. The color matched perfectly despite not having the sticker affixed to the bottom of the chair, indicating which color to get as per manufacturer's instructions.Without reading the instructions I quite easily put it together to the chair and voila! It was the missing piece. I got the H4 version as I'm 5'11" and it was just right. Now I can go about working and resting my head easily with this new addition to the chair. I took one star off because there appears to be some warping of the mesh on the right side of the headrest (you can see it in the pic).

With a $2.00 modification and adjustments it's PERFECT!
This is the H4 In Graphite for the "Remastered" Herman Miller Aeron chair. This quality and finish makes it look as if it's a genuine Aeron accessory. Take the time and READ the instruction manual to INSTALL and adjust the headrest AFTER you've adjust the chair to your comfort. (The directions for the chair are on Herman Miller's website.) After adjusting it for my comfort, I tightened the all of the headrest's hardware a 1/4 turn clockwise to hold the settings a little better. EN doesn't recommend this, as they say the factory settings allow for easy adjustments. I agree, but I wanted it tighter than it was. I never thought an Aeron could be improved, but this headrest does it- DEFINITELY worth the $180.00!THE MODIFICATION: I had the same problem that many people had, in that the headrest would not stay adjusted for height, and there's no way to tighten it to keep the headrest from falling. I decided to use 1/4" ID fuel line to solve this. 1 foot of this product cost $2.00 at my local hardware store. This hose is reinforced inside to maintain its shape, which makes it very strong. To lock the headrest in at maximum height, I needed two pieces that were 2 3/8" long. (I cut them from the part of the hose that has no writing.) I then a piece in a vice just tight enough to hold it still while I carefully cut through ONE side of it lengthwise. Use a new blade in a utility knife and SLOWLY make 3 straight cuts, each a little deeper than the last, following the previous cut. You will end up with a sleeve that fits perfectly over the rod. Open the slit wide enough to go around the rod and slip it on. The hose will close up perfectly around the rod. You won't even see the slit. They are very stiff and don't look too obvious. Mine are on a Graphite (Gray) Aeron. If you have a Carbon (Black) chair, they'll blend in even better!Adjust the headrest where you'd like it, measure how much tubing you need ABOVE the bracket, and follow the directions above. $200 bucks for something that should have come with the chair? Gerd Dermit
I'm not sure if they updated the unit or not, but I'm 5 days in and no issues with mine yet. The assembly fits snugly on the top edge of the chair. The contours of the plastic body seem custom fit for the chair, so I didn't experience having to force it into place, or any unsightly gaps and general incorrect fit. It looks good and seems OEM quality frankly (thus far), and even the material matched my chairs pattern and color exactly. You have to have an extremely good eye to catch the difference (unless you ordered your chair(s) with another pattern or color). The adjustability of the headrest, after it's been installed, is very easy, using one lever to enable the upward and downard tilt of the headrest, while forward and backward adjustment is done manually (using your hands); I've read that you can adjust the level of force required to move the headrest forward and backward, but personally I haven't needed to do that. As for some other reviews saying the unit gets loose after a week or that they have had to finagle the unit onto the chair with McGiver solutions, I can happily say I have not needed to do anything like that yet. I really can't complain about anything other than the price, but really if you've ever sat in an Aeron (one that you paid for yourself), you quickly realize that for the money spent on it, a critical piece is missing, and this is that piece. It completes the chair and frankly should have come with one from the factory, so if you work for Herman Miller and are reading this, tell your cheap bosses to include this in the box.

Great product
Looks great feels great.. no difference in color from the chair.Using it with my Aeron remastered in graphite.BUT, the metal piece and plastic scratched the chair, so you have to be very careful when you install it. I put tape around the metall piece to reduce it from scratching further.
