Q: Do we need to connect it using the usb as well as the green 3.5mm jack?

Yes both need to be connected. USB is for power and it doesn't transmit sound signal simultaneously. So 3.5 mm jack needs to be connected for sound signal. Since USB cable is only for power supply, you can attach it in mobile charger (at least 5V,1A) and free up cpu USB.

Q: With subwoofer how much cost

I bought it by Rs. 1999.00. Its expensive. But it's value for money.
