The texture is more like oil. Its a very good oil.

No it won't affect your hair colour. My girlfriend is also white and she used it on her roots of her hair mainly, and put a little on the whole of her hair, then she use some spray stuff on her hair, and her hair is lovely and smell sweet. Remember it's a natural oil. Can't beat natural.
