Should help once heated up as long as you have the pad in correct position. Heat is great for easing the pain in conjunction with pain killers

Does anyone know if you could also use these to keep warm insects in the post?

I do not think it would be a good idea to use these heat pads to keep insects warm in the post, because the pads do get very warm which is why they're not suitable to adhere them to your body. You must only stick them to outer clothing (imo they're the best heat pads on the market for back pain). However, insects are fragile compared to humans and they may arrive at their destination dead. So no do NOT do this.

Do they work for a frozen shoulder?

Having suffered a frozen shoulder in the 80’s my doctor diagnosed stess as the cause,so I was lucky enough to be able to change my job a few months later no frozen shoulder.
