It’s perfect for any water fun and aqua sports.
I bought this underwater camera for our snorkeling trip in Hawaii 2 weeks ago. Disposable cameras or iPhone in a waterproof pouch were not worth the risks. All I can say is, this camera is definitely well worth the money. We’re very pleased with its HD picture quality without distortions. Being able to capture our snorkeling memories with this camera was priceless. Great zoom and magnification. It was easy to carry and setup was a breeze. Excellent battery life. Just remember to get a memory card. It’s perfect for any water fun and aqua sports.

Good, but not great.
I had 103 photos from a trip to Hawaii on a brand new 128 Gb Sandisk. I tested using the camera at home before the trip but never tried to transfer the pictures. After I got home and tried to transfer the photos, it indicated "Folder is Empty". I have an updated computer with Windows 10 Pro and all of my drivers were up to date. I tried my laptop with a SD card reader and had the same issue. After contacting the seller thru Amazon, they sent me a PDF file with multiple possible solutions. I ran an "Disk Check" tool and it worked. I was able to see the DCIM folder and the 100JLCAM folder and the files.I found it difficult to clearly see the viewfinder under water thru a snorkel mask, so I just did a point and shoot with fairly good results. Clarity of the pictures is definitely dependent on the clarity of the water. Pool pictures are very clear while the ocean pictures are good.

Awesome underwater camera
Just got this unit last week and used it this past weekend. The unit work flawless out of the box in my living room and provided an excellent picture. This camera works very well to watch the fish actually take your bait. The perch and walleye were hitting very lightly so without this camera I would not have caught the fish I did catch. The only thing that I noticed was when the camera gets into deep water where the light cant reach the leds come on and turn the picture to black and white, but no complaints here.

Not worth it, even at this low a price
First off, make sure you have a memory card. Do not attempt to use this unless you have full sun, there is nothing good about low light or flash. I cranked up the resolution this morning and took the dogs in he backyard. The pictures were okay, but honestly I’d rather just stick to my phone. The menu is tedious and not intuitive, the settings are a joke, video sucked. The zoom is digital as advertised and not worth the space on a memory card. Think Razr phone in ‘08. I could not remove the battery after putting it in. As for if it is water proof, I would t trust your vacation memories to it. The door was very flimsy and I can’t see it keeping a seal more than a couple times. I know this isn’t a real camera for serious photographers, but it was just such a disappointment. Maybe good for kids, but they will break it and you won’t want the pictures they get with the camera anyway.

OK for kids at the pool, not for anything more serious
It's a camera that works underwater, if you don't get too deep. OK for the price. Not real sturdy. Photos OK, but not real sharp. Focus and light adjustment is not so great under water, better on land/boat. Water seal at battery door is finicky. For the price, it's suitable for use for snaps of friends at the pool or beach or for the kids to play with. Not recommended for snorkeling, diving, or paddling sports.

Great travel camera
Amazing value for your money. The ability to take a picture and transfer it over to your phone using the app is very handy. I tried it to see the quality of the picture taken on the phone and I was impressed! Stunning detail and the transfer was fast. The app is user friendly as well. I originally purchased this for my vacation pictures only. This is shock resistant and I'm known for dropping things during travel. I liked that feature because I've dropped several cameras before and they stop working, but the additional pros of this product made me love it!

Crisp clear photos
I have a trip coming up with lots of under water activities, so I figured this would be great to have for these once in a lifetime experiences. It’s a beautiful blue camera that’s small and lightweight. Unfortunately my pool is closed but I was able to take some gorgeous pictures outside, close up and from distance and they both came out crisp and clear. I’m extremely impressed with the quality of the pictures for the price. I can’t wait to really test it and get it under water. It comes with a travel pouch, recharge kit, and battery. I bought a memory card also so I can get the most out of it. Great camera that takes beautiful pictures.

Not bad for a "cheaper" waterproof camera
I bought this about a week before my trip to Antigua. I was actually looking for the cheap one-time use underwater cameras that you have to take to get developed and I found this one instead. I recommend playing with it before you go on vacation so that you are sure how to use it while in the water. We actually stayed on the Atlantic side of the ocean. The first 2 pictures were taken on the reef on the Atlantic side. The third and fourth pictures were taken on a reef on the Caribbean side of the island. The water on the Caribbean side of the ocean was more clear. I think the current/waves churned up more of the sand so the water was more cloudy. You can see the last 2 pics were much more clear (less sand floating in the water....not a fault of the camera). I found that I could turn the camera and use it for about an hour before I had to plug it back in. That would be about the only draw back with this camera. I still am trying to figure out all the functions on the camera, but that is more my fault since I waited about 5 days before my departure to order the camera and the fact that I am not super camera savvy. But it worked very well for what I wanted. I was pleased with the camera and can't wait for the opportunity to use it again! The SD card you need to purchase for this needs to be a micro SD card.
