The material is plastic with the forehead strip being cushioned by a soft foamy material, it's a good helmet that has saved me from cracking my head on steel many times, highly recommended

you can buy two types of chinstraps for EVO2 Safety helmet, Elasticated chinstrap -AHV001-100-000 or the Deluxe chinstrap with cup - AHV000-500-000. Thank you.
