Really like this brand, it is one of my top ten for sure. I order from here, from their website, and sometimes grab spices from the store. Just a good tasting brand at a reasonable price.Crushed red pepper flakes are fresh and spicy. The flakes come out pretty well, but often I just open up and take a pinch.Used to just use crushed red pepper on rare occasion, so a bottle would take years to use. Then more recently my husband began sprinkling it on his spaghetti. He never did that. I never did that. But now, we have to have it when we have spaghetti. I know parm and red pepper flakes are nearly always set out at an Italian restaurant, but I always skipped over the red pepper. I'm not hugely into spicey hot, but a little red pepper really wakes up the taste buds. I use just enough to add some warmth and a little bite. LOVE IT.So when I had to replace my aging and now quickly depleting bottle, I just went directly to Badia brand. Now we are using red pepper flakes on everything. I have it sitting with the salt and pepper as part of daily basic "finishing" seasonings that sit on counter.I am sure I will be back for more.

This is a Great Big Plastic Container of "Badia Crushed Red Pepper" I was surprised to see the Huge Amount, since it is Packaged by Weight 12 Oz. and not Volume. This is Perfect for me, is not as Hot as I thought it would be, "Badia Crushed Red Pepper" has a Wonderful Flavorful Aroma very Fresh, I can Smell it and very Spicy without being Sizzling Hot, Just the way I like it. Although the Quality of this Spice varies depending of the Quality and Freshness of the Peppers it is made from. I usually grind the Crushed Red Pepper and use it in many meals, especially part of my 11 Herbs and Spices I use to Coat and Fry Chicken. It is going to take me a while to finish with all the Crushed Red Pepper in this ContainerCrushed Red Pepper also known is Red Pepper Flakes is a combination of different Crushed Hot Dried Red Chile Peppers, it is not made from one single Pepper but several, Ancho, Bell and Cayenne Peppers, and there is a High Ratio of Seeds which some people believe intensifies the heat in Crushed Red Pepper. It is also known as "Pizza Pepper" and I do use in Pizza now, it gives Pizza that "Oomph" that it was lacking before. Out of the many Countries that grow Peppers, China, India and Pakistan are the primary Producers of Crushed Red Pepper. Good Peppers are Flavorful but Pungent and these Countries are where the Peppers Grow Best. I was introduced to this brand. Their crushed red pepper has a good heat content without being overwhelming too spicy to taste the flavor. It has to be one of top 3 options for me for crushed red pepper. I used to and still buy the crushed red pepper from Trader Joe's.
