Life Saver on service and brilliant discovery
Having a birthday near Christmas always means I struggle to get things on time as I am a last minute kind of guy. Thankfully it came 36 hours after ordering and wasn't even on Prime. The toy itself was even better. My nephew is 6, but he is a very smart 6, and him and I played with it for 3 hours straight when he opened it, and then carried on again when we got back from a day out. It is fair to say I was in the good books. The stuff was slightly tricky to work out how to assemble in the first place for a 6 year old, but I do think it is aimed at slightly older kids. We went on their website -the instructions are nice and clear and once you get the hang of it you are flying. He loves it, the rubber band drive is surprisingly good, in my head it did not work as well as this, the story in the comic is really good, and made it more fun.It would be good if they made more boxes so that you can build bigger and bigger things - but seriously, this was a hit. I hope they will do so, and if they do then this will be something they go back to again and again. This is as addictive as lego in my opinion, but with the added bonus of movement being powered and also I like the fact it is completely recycled. You do need to use everything in conjunction for the full effect - website and comic and the toy itself, but well worth the effort. Can't wait to go back and play with it again soon!

DIFFERENT!
I saw this and it really appealed. I had to buy one for the grandchildren at Christmas. I shall enjoy it with them.Teaching kids to be creative, rather than making exactly what's on the box, is something we need more of. That and getting them to think again about throwaway packaging is a much needed message. I don't know if this was designed to get children and grownups working together and sharing ideas, but I'm sure it will happen. And good for all, I reckon!I couldn't resist a peep inside before wrapping it up. It looks well made and a lot of ingenuity must have gone into putting it together. There's a comic in there which is icing on the cake. It's funny, well written and illustrated and gives out a timely eco-message in a child-friendly way. It also shows you how to get started.I'm impressed. Can't wait for Christmas...…..

For creative minds !
Well thought out kit, assembling the frame needed some adult help, but once together it works well. The planetjunko website has some very good model ideas on it. My twin grandsons also love the comic too.Really pleased with this eco friendly purchase.

Somewhat limited
I wasn't as impressed with this as I thought I was going to be and, to be honest, neither was my son.Inside the tube are the parts to make a plastic chassis for a rubber band powered vehicle. This chassis can be adjusted in width and length, with the idea being it can be made to fit a variety of pieces of what would otherwise be rubbish. I was kind of hoping for a bit more flexibility in the variety of configurations that are possible, but you are limited to the same basic rectangular shape - so no drag racers with narrow front axle and wide back, nor even two or three wheeled vehicles. Also included are various other connectors that allow kids to customise their creations, using whatever bits of junk they have lying around; this is where they can really let their imaginations fly. You will need fairly specific junk, as anything thicker than ordinary packaging card will be too thick for some of the connectors. In fact, we abandoned the connectors in favour of ordinary masking tape, as it was much more versatile.I know not having the chassis would mean the loss of the power option, but we would have preferred to have four separate wheels for more variety.

Great fun - & you can make a lot more with it than you think
Really good (and eco-friendly) idea. The initial build is clever and fun - and challenging enough to keep everyone's interest (10 and 6-yr-old boys) - should we use a shoebox for the car chassis? Or something smaller? Or BIGGER? - but the really great thing about this kit is that with all the smart little clips and magnets and attachments that come with it you can customise and develop the initial zoomer in loads of different ways (including adding on bits from A Popular Danish Construction System which attached nicely). Boys both loved it and are still playing with it and inventing. As is Dad. Who has plans to build something REALLY big.

The kids loved this inventive kit
My kids 7 & 9 loved this kit and had a lot of fun making some excellent vehicles and whizzing them around. They particularly loved coming down the next day and seeing how cool they looked glowing in the dark.I loved the fact it was really well made in the UK and helped make really good use of our junk collection.I thought there could have been more instructions, but think that might just be the adult mind, as the kids had no bother working out how to do it.Would recommend if you have kids that love constucting things and don't want to add to pile of throwaway toys they generally seem to accumulate.

Creative kit that gets kids and adults alike focussed on making their own entertainment!
Wondered how this would be received and wasn’t disappointed. It kept the children amused for hours as they searched the house for new and interesting additions to enhance and improve their creations. Genius idea with a serious focus on the environment.
