Anything you want to know about tablet weaving - it's in here.
Great book for understanding the history of Tablet weaving - and the technology and the nature of the fabric produced. Including the limitations, such as the twist introduced that needs releasing. I was having trouble getting my head round what was happening to be able to be much good at this weaving technique. If you need to understand processes to be able to do them this is the book for you. There are patterns in here, with clear explanations of all the ways you can manipulicate cards to effect patterning. This is amust have for anyone serious about getting into using cards to make lovely braids.

Disappointing
This book is way above the heads of all but the most expert experienced weaver. Print quality is very poor - blurred black and white photos. It is a dry, scholarly but by no means exhaustive or organised review of the history and world distribution of card weaving. It would be of use to academic textile teachers but is of no use to the craft hobbyist.

A must have reference
The title of this review says it all really. Every other book on this subject that I have read refereces this book. This is the seminal work on the subject by the master himself.

bad print-to-order copy
I have been looking forward to receiving this book, unfortunately it does not meet the expectations, that have been raised by the cover. This print-to-copy version is black and white with poor quality photos, very disappointing. As I will not check how well researched it is, I give 2 stars.

Interesting history but tricky to follow for a beginner. Warning! No colour inside..
Hmmm, I didn't read the description properly, inside everything is in monochrome, including all the designs, with very poor photographs. (Why can't American publications produce clear black and white photos?)Makes it hard to follow the patterns. However, I am persevering.....

The bible of tabletweaving
This book covers all you want to know about tablet weaving. The pictures are in grayscale and contains no real patterns which are a bit sad. But it contains so much other interesting facts that I find it super anyway.

recommend as 'the' definitive work on this technique and I can understand why - glancing through it gives so many options, ideas of what to try next
