They are truly made to hang just light things on. I bought to hand on the side of a loft bed for my son. It's made for the thickness of a door so I don't have that extra support on a thinner wood that it's hanging on. My bad, I need to read the specks better. It works but not fully how I intended it to and the plastic isn't as sturdy as I would have liked

I liked the sturdiness of the purse racks. Could use a little more space between the hangers.

If you have a thicker door DONT BUY. I ordered this for my purses and hang it on my closet, guess what happened. It wouldn’t fit. So I had to force it to fit which was okay until I tried to close the door. Couldn’t close it and by the second push it snapped. Worst product ever and I regret buying it.

So I just bought these and by far this has very strong hooks. I’ve been struggling with finding a good durable organizer for my purses. Yes they are empty but I guess the weight of the purse itself was just too much on my prior organizers. This one is doing the job very well. Yes it’s plastic. The width is for average size doors. (wouldn’t fit on my room door but fits perfect on my closet door) I would for sure recommend these since I’ve done a wood version (broken) a standing version (broken the same day) an over the door version with a band that has adjusting hooks (popped off the door- not broken but not durable for purses as advertised) and closet hooks (goes over your clothing rod) takes up too much space. I for sure would buy this again.

Plastic seems very brittle and the mouth that fits over the door isn't as wide as it looks in the picture. So when I tried to stretch it over door frame and it immediately snapped without any weight put on it.
