Using this on my Panasonic Toughbook CF-53, according to the label it is the exact same output voltage as the 120 volt AC power supply 16.0 volts 4.5 amps, which is 90 watts. I drive a truck, and even though I have a pure sine wave inverter with me this is certainly a lot easier than using the inverter. I used it for about 4 hours last night on the computer off of a 12 volt power supply in the house, and it was fine. However at full wattage, like if you're charging the battery and using the computer at the same time this power supply says it can pull 10 amps at 12 volts, that is 10 amps at the cigarette lighter connector. So you need to have a pretty good cigarette lighter socket in your car or truck if you're going to use it. The sockets in most vehicles are not actually meant for a cigarette lighter anymore, they're just meant for cell phone chargers and gps, so they might not be able to handle the amperage, and they may heat up and melt. So watch out for that. I've only had it for 2 days, so I don't know anything about the longevity.

We purchased 10 of the car chargers for your Panasonic Toughbook. These were amazing quality and were half the size of the competitors. They have functioned flawlessly for almost a year. We had one that the cable had a break inside towards the end. Call support and that shipped me another for free. No questions asked. Amazing customer service. I will be buying more when we upgrade laptops again!

You never know when the Toughbook will need a charge out in the desert or on the road. This 12 volt charger performs flawlessly and keeps me connected and in business remotely.

UPDATE: PWR+ has recognized the descriptive error previously provided and brought the specs listed into conformity with actual product. Pricing structure also corrected.

The charger is small and easy to conceal. I’m a cop so my laptop in my patrol car is on for hours at a time the charger easy keeps the battery at full charge. No problems at all.

Smaller than expected, and works great to charge my Panasonic Toughbook CF-31 in the vehicle. The plug that goes into the laptop is a little undersized on the wire, wish it was a bit beefier or had heat shrink on it for some stiffness. Makes positive connection into the cigarette lighter socket. The back of the adapter lists 16v output, while the OEM and item listing is 15.6v. Despite the mismatched voltage, the toughbook doesn't seem to care.

I always wanted a toughbook so I finally found a grade "A" one for a reasonable price. I have not used this car charger yet, but I have purchased numerous products from this manufacturer in the past, and they always deliver. The quality of this product looks up to par with what I was expecting. I will be using the laptop while away from home so a car charger is a important accessory to have.

I use this 12vdc charger to keep my Panasonic laptop charged during road test when trying to perform diagnostics or when performing emission regen for extending period of time. I had truck regening for over 1.5 hrs and this 12dc charger keeps it fully charged.
