Thumbs up
I love this little coffee maker. Like other reviewers have said it’s smaller than I thought it was going to be. It makes the perfect cup of coffee. It’s simple to rinse off after you make your cup of coffee. I find that after you poured your brewed cup of coffee Into your mug, if you fill the coffee maker halfway with water and then pull the plunger out the screens are practically clean. Very happy with my purchase.

A new addition to my traveling kit.
My job requires me to travel. I spend weeks at a time in hotels. Most hotel coffee machines, regardless of make, being absolute shite, I travel with a French press. I have gone through a couple before purchasing this Espro.None of them were optimal. One had a huge handle that was just bulky. Another had a smaller compartment in the bottom that you could store another couple of tablespoons of ground coffee, another feature I never used.I have been using this Espro press for a week and couldn't be more satisfied. It is light (I have my packing list down to an art; I usually weigh in at somewhere between 48-49 lbs), which is important, it lacks bells and whistles for which I have no need and it makes a great cup of joe. The double screen keeps out grounds while allowing the all-important oils to filter through. Perhaps even more important, and I cannot stress this enough because it is rather unique, it pours clean; no dribbling from the rim while you pour your cup. I was completely thrilled with this aspect. My only concern, and it is a small one, is that the gaskets that provide the seal around the circumference of the plunger and top are silicone instead of the usual metal spring. I will be interested to see how long they last, given the constant friction of moving up and down in the cylinder. Hopefully Espro sells replacement parts so that I can continue to use this excellent product well into the future.Cheers

The best portable press. Don’t think twice.
I own 4 French presses. I love this one. Easy to use and easy to clean. Very lightweight and it Stays Hot. (Bit of a surprise but yes). I used this in quarantine quite extensively. I chose to follow a more coffee expert approach to the instructions. Visit the Serious Eats website or other coffee sites. You can bloom and swirl after 3 min or stir after 90 seconds. Both achieve the same thing. You need to counter CO2 lifting your grounds to the top (see photo) If you just pour in coffee and water and let sit, this will be a bear to plunge. And yes I measure 20g on a portable scale I bought for $8. (Photo) Consistency is very important. I always preheat the carafe with tap water and the plunger with a little of the boiling water. Let the coffee rest with the cover on. (Photo) The press and scale paid for themselves on day 6. The coffee is $4 per cup in the hotel I stayed.

BEST. EVER.
This portable French Press makes the best French press coffee (which I think brings out the best tasting coffee). In 2024, we took a 4000+ mile roadtrip from Texas to New Mexico, Utah, Arizona and back to Texas. Well I wanted to make my own coffee as I love bougie a** coffee. I started searching and came across this awesomeness.Definitely recommend the mug. I use it to bring my own French press coffee to my office, to networking events, or on roadtrips. If you love French press and were looking to get something portable look no further. This thing rocks.

Very clean coffee
So amazing that I want to give a review.I want to have make my own coffee to save money. Do not have too much needs on the quality. I want to something quick, small, easy to use since I want to do it my workplace. The only worry I have before buying is that it will give too much residues. However, the coffee is very clean(cleaner than the Starbucks coffee I buy).

Airports Money saver
As someone who’s in a different airport almost daily at work this is saving me so much money from the inflated coffee prices of the airports.

Faulty dimensions
Update: omg now the filter is welded to the housing. I can’t even unscrew the filter with a pair of pliers. I finally just trashed this POS. I’m convinced the thing is cursed at this pointDon’t waste your time. The rubber seal is not cut at the right diameter and it’s too big. That meansa) coffee constantly bubbling up and spilling over even with the most sensitive handling possible because it will slip violently because the seal is too tightb) plunger getting stuck with an airtight seal requiring pliers to pull it back upAt first I thought the seal would wear down after use to the right dimensions but after thousands of cups it’s actually gotten worse. The rubber ring needs to be cut slightly looser so that it can slide easierI’ve learned to really hate it over the years. At first I could tolerate it but after you use it over a 1000 times, you get tired of coffee bubbling up all over the place when you push the plunger.Get tired of the top part popping up every time you unscrew the cap, tired of the times you need tons of force to either push the plunger down or pull it back up. Right now I need a pair of pliers to get the plunger back upIt simply isn’t cut to the right measurements. I thought after using it would loosen up but it’s worse nowIt isn’t operator error and I’m not a guy who complains about things when something isn’t perfect. But this just isn’t cut to the right dimensionsUnscrew the cap to take a sip and the top part pops off. May seem like not much but do it 3000 times and eventually you can’t take it anymore
