Superb piece of practical kitchen furniture.
I have had this superb piece in my kitchen now for about a month. It was easy to build as the instructions were very good. Took about 2-3 hours for 2 of us to complete. It is sturdy and looks wonderful. The stainless steel worktop is great for making bread, scones, biscuits and much more. It is a lovely addition to my kitchen and I think the price was very good value for what you get. If my kitchen was bigger I would have bought another one. I Love it :-)

Good quality, arrived fast
It arrived 3 days before the estimated delivery date, it took longer then 2 hours to assemble but that because I did things like screwed the screws in part way before putting things together so it was easier to put the doors on and such. Due to the bulky structure and assembling the bottom first I would recommend at least 2 people to assemble but it is doable alone, also the counter top is very heavy. It comes in 2 box's, each box had an assembly leaflet and a sheet on how to return, I had 3, the leaflet has pictures of the parts and how many with corresponding number stickers on parts, same with the screws and such having corresponding letters on packets, it says all you need is a screw driver and allen key, neither are provided. I found I didn't need an allen key but at least 3 different size cross head screw drivers, if you have a interchangeable head torque screw driver the better as some force is needed in some areas. don't be disheartened either if when you are fixing the bottom to the frame if it doesn't sit right, I've found this with most types of self assembly furniture, you get it on strait then put the screws in a little then tighten each one a bit until it is solidly fixed in place by the screws, by that point is should fit perfectly. When placing the counter top in place make sure the supports for the foldable section of the counter are in position to hold the foldable section up otherwise it will pull the main counter top out of alignment when fixing it to the main frame. The tea towels holder can be fitted to either side, this must be done before fitting the sides to the frame as the frame is in the way of the screw holes, I did it after wards with some degree of difficulty but nothing was damaged, item 4 is the right side and 3 is the left. there are wood style vinyl stickers to stick over the holes on the side without the tea towels holder but they are lighter then the wood they affix to. the counter top looks like brushed steel yet is very smooth, its sturdy and solid, the shelves in the cupboards have 3 fully adjustable heights that can be changed easily at any time. I love it and am really glad I bought it.

Perfect for a euro kitchen
Not difficult to put together and very sturdy. Perfect for smaller kitchens where added horizontal surface and storage is needed. All that and it's rather modern and nice looking.

Take time and care
I do not know what 'sheerness' is, so I have not added a value for it. This arrived when it said it would and was fairly well packaged in a multitude of polystyrene pieces. We took our time in building it being well versed over the years in DIY furniture, and it did reward us with the care taken as we had no serious problems or mistakes to correct. Luckily I did manage to fit the towel rail on the side I wished it on (as opposed to the instructions) as the screws are hidden when piecing it together. These instructions are all in picture format and we found them easy to follow. Our only problem was that one drawer was supplied with the fittings on the wrong way around (ie. the stops were at the wrong end so it could not be fitted on the rail). Despite the double layer of protective coating on the stainless steel and the polystyrene, the top was damaged on receipt with dents in two places and unmoveable marks on the corners where the coating had lifted but we decided just to stick with it as it is bound to be 'damaged' with use anyway. In fact, since we started using the island a week ago after it had been built, the steel has indeed marked and has already got some scratches on it despite the care we have taken! I would say that the castors are very good for moving this item but the brakes are very stiff and in our case, even when engaged, do not stop the unit moving on our laminate boards. We found that if we fitted the castors as instructed on the sheet, the unit was fairly secure at one end but the other end moved as freely as always and dragged the braked end with it, so we would advise putting one brake as instructed and the other diagonally across from it at the other end. As stated earlier it does not stop the unit moving completely on our laminate boarding but I think it perhaps may work on stone floors or carpeting. The unit holds quite a lot of items though the drawers are quite shallow (spice jars are too big, though cutlery is fine). We have found that the 'bamboo' colourway is just right for our kitchen / diner and the handles match our current kitchen cupboards which is an added bonus as it sits well with the other units. We do like the kitchen island, even with its limitations, and think that it is very sturdy, is good for what we wanted it for and fit for its purpose.

A nice kitchen island
This was the perfect size for our small kitchen and was also relatively easy to put together for one person. The instructions were easy to follow and it helped tremendously that each part was numbered. The metalic top is easy to keep clean (not sure about smudge free, but I don't mind that). I really liked that it has a deep drawer. The only thing that I don't like (and it's a personal thing, I will probably get used to it) is that you need to push the drawers a little bit to close. They stop just before closing and you almost need to force them to close a bit. Overall, a good quality product, especially for the price.

durability and quality!!
I am a fan of bamboo product if it is proprely designed and constructed. on this particular item most parts of the items is good there are very much invironmetaly friendly products but there are some issues on the inside part of shelf and the shelf door. The door is not properly cuvering the shelf. There are gaps on both side of the doors. It seems they probabley sent me the wrong size door, so, I arge them to send me the right size door as soon as possible. On the inside part one of the shelf edge is slightly damaged I need some one to do minor repir on it and the other down side is the drawer part made out of cheap wood which can be damaged (scrambled) from time to time easly when it is in use.

Easy to Assemble (2 caveats)
Firstly - very happy about the end result and was able to assemble this on my own. NB: I have no idea what "Sheerness" means in this context so have left it blank - I checked my dictionary and all definitions did not apply. Now for the 2 caveats on assembly: 1: the internal central divider has a right way to put in. This is not immediately obvious from the instructions. IF you place it in and it covers the rear grove for the back panel, you have it the wrong way round. 2: the drawer sides have a right and wrong way (I managed to get one wrong). You have to ensure not only that the groove for the draw bottom is in the right place but also that the metal stop tab on the runner is at the drawer front. The other end is open. When inserting the drawers I found you just need to "shove" them in and they connect up properly (the instructions show "mucking about" with a leaver to get them in. One last point if you have a bad back, the top is very sturdy, clad in stainless steel and quite heavy and awkward so you may not be able to manoeuvre it into position by yourself. All in all I'd say it seems to be worth the money and if I encounter any problems later on I will come back and update.

Perfect solution for a small kitchen
We bought this beautiful mobile kitchen island as a solution to the small kitchen in our new house. We had downsized and were in need of a bit more useable space. We did a lot of research and then found this perfect little island. Delivery was prompt and efficient. My husband did the assembly and it didn't take him very long. He is quite good at that sort of thing but there were no grumbles as he did it, which must be a good sign. There is plenty of the right sort of storage space in a compact beautiful unit. The shiny stainless worktop is lovely. I haven't used it as a chopping area yet but that is only because I want to keep it perfect as long as possible. It is very easy to clean and the wheels mean it can moved around to wherever you want it. The towel rail is an added bonus - very useful. I love it and all the feedback I've had from visitors has been very positive, they are impressed and so am I.
