This is an awesome product because the quality of the hair matches mine perfectly. The product is not kinky, its a wavy hair. I did a two step indigo henna (to get brown/black), same process I use on my own hair. Highly recommend Mehandi dot com for high grade, 100% organic sourced henna and indigo. Anyhoo, it totally mimics my hair.It's nice to have a ponytail I can actually comb, wash and condition. No more synthetic ponies for me after experiencing this product. Really soft, shiny. OH, don't weight it down with product. I made the mistake of putting on it what I put on my hair. Don't do that! LOL It weighs it down and makes it look stringy and dull. I like to fluff it with a brush to give it height. Otherwise, I absolutely LOVE this hair.I gave four stars because I'm not wild about the "type" of drawstring. It's a horizontal piece of mesh surrounded by the drawstring and the mesh is a tad bit thick. I imagine that It has to be a vertical design because they actually sew wefts of human hair onto the mesh. Meaning its WELL MADE, but there's room for improvement. Don't let the drawstring deter u from purchasing tho, because I would definitely purchase this product again....a LONG time from now because I see it lasting at least a year. This hair is awesome. But you have to know how to work with it and what to expect.1) I bought 3 packs. 2 were color 1b and 1 was color 2. The color 2 pack did not curl up as much. I think this is due to being lightened as opposed to darkened. This process usually changes the curl pattern of the hair.2) This hair looks better curly, which is the whole point. If you want straight buy a straight ponytail.3) This hair loves products like kinky curly or shea moisture etc. If you plan to wear this dry, it may get frizzy during the day. So think again if you dont know how to manage curly hair.4) Use a denman brush and kinky curly curling custard to get that nice "wet look" even when it dries. I find that using the custard in my own hair to slick it back and then using the custard in the ponytail with my denman gives a really beautiful result.5) The colors appear to be true to standard. I like the 2 color best gor my hair since the 1b is a bit on the dark side.6) I did get some shedding but nothing over the top. All wefts shed but once the kinky curly is in you dont have to comb or mess with the ponytail all day. I just use a spray bottle to revamp the curls between washes.7) The lenght is realistic and manageable, especially for hot summer days.overall people thinks this ponytail is my own hair and I hope Amazon restocks more colors. I received many compliments. It looks like my hair. Creates an easy protective ponytail. It does not shed. Spray with a curl refresher, leave in conditioner, or water, and comb out. As it dries, it shrinks a bit like my own natural hair. The only thing I don't like is that it can look matted when it dries. I use a hair steamer to refresh the curls.01/21/16 I'm editing this review. After a few weeks, I stopped wearing this piece. It would shrink into a knot on my head within five hours. I would have to steam it to be able to get my fingers through it to comb it with a wide-toothed comb. All of that effort down to have it shrink again. It also smelled bad even after washing it. It's great only for a few days.

If I didn't know better I would swear someone cut my hair off to make this ponytail it looks n feels just like my own hair.

Since I am trasitioning to natural hair I thought the curly/nappy look of this would be great...but it didn't nap up like the picture looks.....it waves up but I wanted it to be a little more ethnic. But overall it's nice and I still wear it and get compliments.

Comes straight, which can be really cute too. I brushed water onto it and let it hang while I put my own hair up in a pony tail and by the time I got ready to put it on, it had curled up very nicely. Some say it was only wavy once wet but mine actually curled up and I love it and my husband does too! It also kept its shine and is soft. I think a number of styles can be done with this ponytail for those who are creative.

This pony is my go to. I have bought it several times. The pony was very disappointing. I know this is not the sellers fault. But the one I received was considerably thinner than all the others I have purchased and within a week of wear the curl pattern was shot. I just washed one of my old ones from about 3 years ago and it is drying next to my newer one that has been worn 2-3 weeks. There is no comparison. The older one is at least 25% thicker and the curl still reset like it was new. I don't use it much anymore because it is in a 4 and I wear a 2 now. I'm going to try and make it work until I get a new one in. I am praying I just got a bad one and that milky way didn't just start making them with fewer tracks to save a buck there at the end of production on these. This is a pretty expensive pony to end up getting only one "ok" week of use out of it. Fingers crossed the next will be back on point. I am adding a photo. The lighter colored pony on the left is the older one. The darker on the right is the newer one. I washed them both at the same time this morning using the same products on each. That is a 3 year old pony vs. a 3 week old pony. No good.
