Did anyone hook this up before the main system? different than the way they instruct maybe to boost pressure at inlet side? raymond? ;)

That's the way it should be installed to boost the inlet pressure but on-off pressure switch controlled by outlet or expansion tank pressure.

This pump will boost a well system and can be adjusted , if you are wanting reverse osmosis water this is a good pump , but if you are just pumping water out of a well and straight to a faucet I suggest a in line on demand pump.

Does this add a fixed delta pressure or does it regulate output pressure? House varies 25-70psi; need to add ~40psi when low and 0psi when high.

i had too send my pump back,because it was bad out of the box, so i would consider another pump and yes it does regulate out put pressure!
