Great chunky yarn!!! Love to crochet with this weight of yarn, is very warm and wow I love the colors!!! In relation to wearing this yarn, it’s a little rough so it might not be a first choice. Feels like wool. But the workability and texture, FANTASTIC!

I got the Bernat Softee Chunky yarn (Shadow) to make a throw blanket. I ended up using 6 different skeins. There was some issue with color consistency but that is to be expected with different dye lots. What was more annoying was the lack of consistency in texture. Some skeins were stiff and rough, but overall I liked the yarn, thought it was fun and easy to work with, and made a fun looking blanket.I used Bernat softee chunky Dark Mauve and Seagreen for two of the solid colors (and a different brand entirely for the solid beige color). Those skeins were softer, for some reason. They also didn’t match the colors in the variegated Shadow yarn as closely as I would have hoped considering they were they same brand, but it worked out for my blanket since there is a lot going on.

This yarn was incredibly soft and easy to use. The colors were absolutely beautiful! I do wish there had been more in each skein! I crocheted a foot pouf for my mom to use when she is painting. It’s been in year now, and it’s still looks new, even though it is used every day. It’s held its shape. The colors are still lovely. It was a good purchase.

Thick/chunky, easy to work with for a beginner. Was nearly enough to make a shrug. Not scratchy (thank goodness)

This is a rougher yarn since it's polyester, but it does soften in the wash, and if isn't terribly rough
