★★★★☆ Great for effortless, defined curls – 4.5 stars rounded down to 4 I’ve been using the OGX Locking + Coconut Curls Air Dry Cream for about a month now, and it’s become my go-to on days when I don’t feel like diffusing or dealing with a lot of heat. This stuff is legitimately designed for air-drying, and it delivers. What I love: • The curl definition is excellent. My 3A/3B curls come out bouncy, separated, and frizz-free even on humid days. • Zero crunch. It feels like a lightweight lotion going on, and once it dries it leaves my hair super soft and touchable. • The coconut scent is heavenly – tropical but not overpowering, and it lingers nicely without being cloying. • No parabens, sulfates, or silicones (for anyone keeping track), and a little goes a surprisingly long way. A 6 oz tube has lasted me almost 5 weeks with 2–3 uses per week. Minor gripes (why I docked half a star): • On very high-dew-point days (80+), I still get a tiny bit of poof at the roots if I don’t scrunch in an extra gel on top. • It can feel slightly greasy if you use even a tad too much, especially on finer curls. Start with less than you think you need. Overall, if you’re looking for a low-effort, heat-free styling cream that enhances natural texture and smells like a vacation, this is a winner. It’s not a miracle that replaces gel entirely for everyone, but for soft, defined, air-dried curls it’s one of the best drugstore options I’ve tried. Would absolutely repurchase.

I like how this product leaves my hair..provides good moisture and lots of curls and it controls frizziness and gives you volume. It smells amazing too. I have semi-curly Puerto Rican hair!

I have naturally wavy and thick hair and I recently followed the trend of cutting my hair in to the long bob (or lob) style. I therefore needed a product that would define my now lighter and therefore wavier hair while fighting frizz. This product goes on easy, doesn't make my hair feel greasy, fights frizz and leaves my hair feeling soft. HOWEVER it does not define my curls very well and I think it fights frizz a little too well because it completely took the volume from my natural hair, which is pretty hard to do. As I'm sure many of you know, hair isn't easy. Everyone's hair is particular in its own way and you just have to figure out which routine works for it. Here is my routine and recommendation if you want to try this product: - I normally wash my hair at night, apply the OGX Coconut Curls Mousse, let it air dry until it is dry or mostly dry, then go to sleep on a silk pillowcase. This routine usually leaves me with perfect hair in the morning. Using only this product only works if I sleep on my hair though, I guess it has more time to rest and calm down? Who knows, but it works for me! - If I happen to wash my hair in the morning/during the day, I first apply this product and then apply the mousse on top. The air-dry cream fights the frizz and the mouse shapes my waves and maintains volume. So to sum up (I applaud any of you who bothered to read this long review, thank you), I really like the OGX coconut curls line for thicker, wavy hair. You just have to figure out how to use them for your hair. I gave this product 3 stars because I have found that it's not great by itself but it works great when using it with the mousse.

This worked really for me on wet or dry hair. I mix it with water (about 1/3 water & 2/3 product) and that makes it the perfect consistency. The smell is amazing! It’s a gentle but a long lasting scent. My hair feels extremely soft and it dries pretty quickly too. Only con I have is the bottle is so small…wish it came in a larger size. I have somewhat thick hair and it’s mid back length when straight so 1 bottle barely last a week. It’d be great to have larger size bottle too. 😊

This smells really good! Also it is a nice, light leave in conditioner. My hair is naturally very frizzy but this reduces that some and moisturizes without weighing down. I think this helps define my curls much more than going without. Also lasts a long time. First bottle took me nearly a year to finish!
