Really nice general-purpose tripod, well-engineered, excellent value.
I'm impressed with the quality and utility of this tripod considering its under-$50 price. Clearly someone put a lot of thought into its design. It's light and reasonably sturdy. Construction is almost entirely plastic and aluminum. (All the tubular parts, such as leg sections, monopod sections, and center post, are aluminum.) As advertised, it can be set up to be quite tall. I'm over 6'-2", and it easily sets up at a comfortable height for me, whether in tripod or monopod mode. Speaking of which, it's got a fast-to-deploy monopod, which should be handy for outdoor photography. It seems to me this tripod should really shine for indoor use, although the center hook allows weight to be added to make it more stable outdoors. It can also be made more stable by not fully extending the legs. (I'm actually planning to use this tripod mostly outdoors, so it'll be interesting to see how it performs and holds up under those conditions.) Also as advertised, the pan and tilt functions provide a degree of "image stabilization" when moving the camera. With a little practice and careful adjustment of knob tension, I'm able to pan and tilt my video camera quite smoothly. The included bluetooth remote paired quickly with my smartphone and works great. That brings me to my one complaint about this tripod, and it's minor: the instruction pamphlet that accompanies the remote has comically tiny print. Unless your vision is incredible, you'll need magnification to read the 1.5-mm high font they used. Some reviewers have commented that the storage bag is a bit small. Maybe the manufacturer has addressed this in the meantime, but I found the bag to fit perfectly when everything is properly collapsed, with room to spare for instructions and accessories. I wouldn't want it to be any larger because then the contents would slide around. So, is this tripod suitable for professional-grade use with heavy telephoto lenses, or in very windy conditions? Probably not. But for general-purpose use, tight budgets, or where light weight is desirable, it's a hands-down winner. I'm glad I bought it.

Advanced Features at a budget price
There are many great features in this tripod but what was very important to me was that it extends to 72". If you see this on Amazon, they do list that there is a new model but it says that it's 64". I don't know what other differences there are between the two. I'm using this tripod as a Magyver tool. I am a drone pilot for tv and film and I am often in places where I cannot have a large monitor but I am able to attach an 11" monitor to the tripod and it's very sturdy. This makes filming much smoother as having a monitor at 72", I don't need to look down at the monitor on my controller. I also need to take precise and consistent still images for continuity and the quick release plates are extremely helpful as well as the 3-way swivel head allowing me to make precise adjustments. The Flip Lock legs and the handle as well as the light aluminum body gets me to different locations quickly and easily. I really prefer flip-lock legs. They just give me a mental reassurance that the tripod is not going anywhere. Especially when you have $6,000 to $20,000 worth of equipment relying on it. I don't use the mono-pod that often as I also use a Ronin Gimbal but when I have, it's extremely quick to access. When dealing with film and photography, timing is everything. Natural light can disappear in moments and the Victiv tripod has been essential in getting setup quickly.

THE BEST Tripod ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Great, Versatile Tripod” This Tall Multi-use Tripod has been perfect for all my photography and videography needs (Phone or DSLR). It extends to a great height and feels sturdy even in wind. The legs adjust easily, and the fluid head makes smooth video shots. It’s lightweight, yet supports heavier cameras. The locking mechanism is secure, and it’s an excellent value for its quality and versatility. Highly recommend it for anyone needing a reliable tripod!

After refund for broken item, seller replaced months later for free
Update: Original review at the bottom. I received a message from the seller about two months after my original purchase and subsequent return for broken tripod. Details are in the original review. The seller offered to send me another one at no charge even though I had already received my money back. Upon delivery of the second tripod, I opened it and tested all the legs, their locking mechanisms, and the overall functionality of the remaining moving parts of the tripod. Since the second one was completely functional, I was able to see just how great this tripod really is. I'm 6 feet tall, and at its full extension, it's nearly as tall as me, which is what I was looking for. It's super easy to carry and unfold. It also serves a dual purpose, functioning as a tripod and a monopod since the center piece with the camera head mount separates from the tripod legs. It comes with a nice carry case too. I have yet to really run it through the rigors of a day of photo shoots, but for a hobby photographer, it's perfect. It does not have a fluid head but at this price point, you can't expect top of the line features. Overall, if you're a hobby photographer who needs a taller tripod, one that serves multiple purposes, and good for light weight travel and carrying, this is a great choice. Original: I was excited to receive this tripod after reading reviews. It had the functionality I needed and was tall enough for me to peer at my camera's view screen at eye level. Unfortunately, the mechanisms for locking the extendable legs in place would not hold up. After using it once and folding it back up, the lever and friction piece to hold the legs at an extended position broke. Seeing as these parts are plastic, I could understand how it would fail. Mind you, I was not rough with it and did not place an unbearable load on it. The construction materials, assembly, and overall quality of this product is nearly on par with products you'd expect at this price point. Unfortunately, I didn't have time for an exchange and went a different route. I returned it for a refund because, well, I can't put a $1200 camera on a broken tripod.

Great Tripod
Purchased this tripod to mount my SeeStar S50. The mall tripod that came with the telescope for someone over 6ft was a pain. This one is well built and sturdy enough for the photography I do.

Nice, Lightweight but Stable tri-pod
I bought this for mounting a spotting scope to, although I will use it occasionally for camera work. I wanted a lightweight unit for ease of packing into remote places. Heavier tripods will me more steady than this one, but I can't afford the weight for my use. This tripod does have a hook at the bottom of the center post for adding weight, however, so one's backpack might make a suitable ballast for making this steadier. It works well for a spotting scope and a still camera - especially if you have a shutter remote. Not quite steady enough for a video camera that one may be panning with. It's height is incredible. I am 6 feet tall, so 72", plus the height of whatever I have mounted to it, is certainly more than I'll ever need on level ground. However, I am often on uneven terrain, so adjusting the length of the legs individually to compensate for the slope is well within the capability of this tripod. The price is very reasonable. I looked at other tripods marketed especially for spotting scopes and most started at twice the price of this one. I am very happy with it.

Veristal, compact, sturdy.
I use this for my mobile auto detailing company. For my videos. And it is very Very flexible and sturdy. From having 1-2 legs in of of the car seats. To standing out side the cars looking in. It does s great job at doing what it's built for. And the multiple adjustment legs and center post. Really make it worth while. It comes with a phone mount and sturdy camera screw mount. And a carrying bag. It's not made from the best material but it works. To put everything in. It's also compact enough for my camera backpack. So I just put it in there.
