Installed and works perfectly on my wife's Indian Scout! Installs easily between the handlebars and the windshield, if any. Indian includes a spare wire from the ignition. Whatever connector that is fits with the connector provided by Kuryakyn. No manual splicing needed, at least on an Indian bike (and probably most newer bikes). This way, it's wired into the ignition so the speaker turns off when the bike turns off. The speaker system includes a USB port for charging your phone or whatever you want to use it for. The sound quality is great to me. I don't know a lot about sound, I'm not a musician, I've never installed aftermarket speakers in a car or truck, I don't generally jack with equalizers (because stock is fine). I'm not a sound fanatic. To me, the sound quality is better than a lot of motorcycles with fixed fairings that have speakers. Does this sound ok? Yeah, sounds great and rich to me. We play streaming music and mp3 music, both from a phone. I connected the phone to the speaker over Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connects easy. When I mute my radio on my motorcycle, I can hear my wife's Road Thunder music from her bike, probably 6-8 feet away. It's plenty loud and we've never had it anywhere near max volume. No complaints. Solid purchase. Sound snobs might find something to whine about, as you can see in other reviews, but I honestly don't understand what they are talking about.

I’ve been wanting this speaker for months and I couldn’t pull the trigger because it’s pretty pricey, and what if you spend all that money and spend time on installation only to find out it doesn’t sound that good or you can’t hear it after hitting a certain speed like some other buyers have mentioned? Well, I finally decided to do it after the weather finally broke and I have zero buyer’s remorse. The speaker sounds absolutely awesome. Installation took about two hours, but that’s only because it took time to research things about my bike and figure out how to best run the wiring; if I had to install this speaker again, it would probably take 30-45 minutes give or take. Once it was on, it was as simple as activating Bluetooth on my phone. The speaker immediately connected, and I was playing music in less than 10 seconds. No issues whatsoever. Others have reported not being able to hear their music over 45-50 miles per hour, which was really my biggest concern. My bike is a 2021 Indian Scout Bobber, 1200cc’s with a Vance & Hines Twin-Slash exhaust. Simply put, it’s loud. There is no wind protection at all. I’ve ridden at 85mph since installing the speaker and I can tell you that I can not only still hear music but I can identify the song, it’s not just noise. Granted, at that speed it doesn’t sound great, but I don’t ever ride at those speeds anyway. At 45-50, it’s clear as day with full face shield helmet on. Being able to listen to my music on the bike has definitely added another level of enjoyment to my riding experience. You won’t be disappointed if you invest in this speaker for your motorcycle.

First off, this thing is loud. Even at 70 mph I can hear it fine over the wind. The sound is crisp and clear. Due to the design and size, it lacks some of the bass and low tones but that's too be expected of any motorcycle sound system. The mid and high notes are clear and ear piercingly loud at full volume. (A good thing but I keep the volume a little lower because it gets annyoing). The clamps are the biggest issue. I have 1" bars but for some reason the 1" clamps are a little loose. I can grab the bar and move the whole thing up and down. This worried me because I didn't want vibration causing it to slide down and interfere with steering. So far that has not been an issue and we have some terrible roads around here. I added some thin rubber strips for more "grip" under the clamp and that helped significantly. The install is fairly straight forward. There are 4 wires in the bundle. (Red-power, black-ground, orange- ignition or "turn on", and blue- for another amp but not needed for most people. The power and ground have connectors that slide under the battery terminal screws. I cut the blue wire short and dead ended it. The orange wire was tied in to the tail light (running light, not the one controlled by the brake switch for obvious reasons.) Installation took about 25 minutes. It's a great unit and made entirely of aluminum. Be careful with the clamps around the sound bar, once fully tightened they tend to bend the mesh on the speaker which could cause you to crush the tweeters slightly. I just feel like it's a bit overpriced. I have a ton of bluetooth sound bars for the house and garage. Its definitely a cool unit but the price is a little outrageous for a bluetooth sound bar just because it mounts to a motorcycle. That being said its quality built. Buy once, cry once.

Amazing value and was pleasantly surprised with sound clarity over my Vance & Hines exhaust

After reading reviews and watching videos on this, I bit the bullet and forked out $340+. Shipping was fast and product seemed well packaged but the until was defective right out of the box. Before wiring what seemed to he a simple install, I wanted to check the unit before tearing into my 2022 Harley Davidson Heritage Classic -- brand new. As soon as I hooked the positive and ground up to a 12v battery, the buttons lit up and immediately went out. No pause or nothing. The unit litterly went off as fast as it lit up. I tried powering it on by pressing the power button and it didn't do anything. I tried several times and as soon as the positive touched the terminal, it foasged on once and then flashed off just as fast. I'm glad I checked before doing the install. I'm disappointed because not only did I expect it to work, I was anxious about have good tunes from what seemed to be a good brand. However, this unit is defective and cannot give an accurate review because it was dead straight out of the box. I live 3 hours round trip to the closest UPS dropoff site so now it's time and money wasted. I am extremely disappointed and my hope and being anxious has turned into disappointment at a cost — my cost. I am going to make the drive you return those but will find me something else outside of this brand and model.

Pros: Decent sound quality and easy connection to phone. Built in controls for navigating next/previous tune and raising/lowering volume. Connects directly to the battery and starter line to only come on with the bike being on so it doesn't kill your battery. Built-in USB charger to charge up your phone/device for those long hauls. Water-resistant electronics are great for all-weather riding. Cons: Not the best at freeway speeds but decent for running around town (in ref. to volume). Price is a bit high for something that can't be used for all types of riding. I put over 20K miles on a bike with one of these and the quality never lessened. There aren't many cons. I know the sound quality isn't as good as the Plex but the USB charger makes it blow the Plex away.

This is Hands-down really loud.. great sound quality easy installation videos and reviews on YouTube and on here do not do this thing justice. I have vance Hines exhaust on my Indian scout bobber. long story short it’s a really loud bike when I have the speaker on I can barely hear my bike. I can hear it really clear 55 mph with no wind screen and a bucket helmet on. If you own a 2019 Indian scout bobber like I do. do not use the T Tap wire on your wire harness from the fuse box about 5 inches down the line from the fuse box is a tiny brown and pink wire that has a female end and it goes straight to the key the system is plug and play I don’t trust using a T tap on any wires. Just take my advice and save yourself countless hours of research to figure out what wire when it’s staring you flat in the face now it will be under some tape on the wire harness just look for it you’ll have no problems. You are welcome!!! Not one video on YouTube will tell you what I just did… also Bluetooth connection is flawless and super fast!

Initial impressions out of the box were that this is a nice, heavy, piece of kit. The instructions and wiring were easy to understand set up, with the majority of time being spent on routing through my motorcycle's frame. Once I got it set up, there were a few things I noticed. When connecting to my GPS unit (Garmin Zumo XT2), the speaker sounded fantastic, easily clear & loud at highway speeds, but would cut off after about 5 seconds of playing music. Bluetooth was still connected, the track was continuing to play, but no sound coming from the speaker. Turning the volume up or down using the buttons on the speaker itself would cause the audio to come back immediately for another 5 seconds before cutting off again. I tried this speaker with a variety of older GPS models via bluetooth and it repeatedly did the same thing. When I connected it directly to my phone, I didn't have any issues though. I am not sure if it's some weird kind of compatibility problem or what, but for me it was a huge disappointment, because I use my Zumo to control music any time I am out riding. The other issue I noticed is that the instructions reference a USB port cover on the left-hand side. I looked and there was no cover. I thought maybe it needed to be installed, so I rooted around in the box and found the cover sitting by itself. It had fallen off the speaker while in shipping. Unfortunately, it uses a plastic push-type bolt that you lodge into the side of the speaker. This bolt has pretty soft plastic and had lost all of its plastic splines and would not stay in. This leaves the left side of the speaker, with the aux-in and USB ports exposed to the elements. I did some more research and determined that this is a pretty common issue, and that other people have just glued the cover back. Given the extreme cost for this speaker, I was not comfortable keeping it in the long term, since it doesn't seem to work well with the Garmin Zumo, and because of the quality issues surrounding the USB port cover.
