DON"T buy from this brand. Their products come unsealed, NO safety seal so that anyone can just open their product such as what I bought, their "Organic Spinach Powder" and poison it! : ( I slowly unscrewed the lid to the jar and saw that the inner seal was ajar, not sealed either! And on top of that their is NO Returns for their product! Do the math! : (

The lid would *not* come off, I had to break it. Once open, the color was a brownish green and smelled like pepper. The stuff from KOYAH is a dark, rich green. I threw this stuff out. I don't even want to know how it tastes. I came back to read the reviews and wish I had done so before buying. Money down the drain.

When I got the spinach the jar was not sealed properly. I opened the lid and part of the seal was already opened. I tried to reclose the jar and the lid would not go back on the jar properly it just continues to spin around. I tasted the product and it had a little bit of an off taste. I tried to contact the company to no avail. I won't buy this product again I'm going to contact Amazon for a refund. It's a shame when we pay good money for a product and we don't get the quality that we think we should get. Thumbs down!

Flavor is pretty great spinach but also clearly sand. The fresh spinach at the store comes pre-washed and costs 7 dollars for a relatively small amount, so I do not mind paying more than 10 dollars for a pound. As I thought when first buying this it is too inexpensive. I do not know about sand eating, I think I heard somewhere it is okay, but I am redoing my entire meal right now and I'm looking for a more expensive brand. I guess you can put it in tea bags or something, I need powder to add to Buckwheat pasta and Olive Oil where any bit of sand is totally unacceptable.

.Used this product in my smoothies several times and was chewing sand. Smoothies are thick but the sand was really noticeable. I am not one to complain but although the taste was great, the sand was awful and the powder came in a pouch that looked dirty on the outside.

I will preface my review by stating that I did not actually try the product. The package came filthy on the outside. It also had water stains on the inside of the lid. The seal did not look secure. It looked as if the item was dropped in a puddle, then put in the box with dried dirt on it. I wouldn’t dare use it and sadly I can’t return/be refunded for/replace it! In all fairness, I have no clue what the actual product is like. Believe me I wish I did. I don’t know at what point in the chain of custody the package got damaged...

The product has a very disgusting looking color, the taste is VERY salty, the company has no phone contact info. I will certainly not every buy this product again.

I've had a lot of different spinach powders and fresh spinach shakes as well. This tastes more like horseradish with a side of compost. I can tolerate some pretty yucky things, but I had to throw this out. Oh, and you should also know, it doesn't come in a jar as pictured. It comes in a bag, which is more difficult to work with. For only 2 dollars more, I found some absolutely wonderful organic spinach. In my opinion, it was well worth the 2 dollars.

So excited about ordering this product as a quick addition to our green smoothies. Thank goodness I decided to try some sprinkled on mac and cheese - the whole lot needed to be thrown out as this product is a combination of spinach and sand and you can taste the tiny stone particles!!! Perhaps it would have gone unnoticed if I had placed it in our smoothies. Does not even deserve a 1 star rating.
