Can’t discern any difference in audio quality with this and without, so I have no complaints there.The reason for the drop in one star is because the mating surfaces inside the connector hole are bare copper. I could see these oxidizing depending on humidity over time.

Have no idea how long you can keep extending a RCA cable but , this worked for me to run a cable to my bar stereo from an optical sensor box on a bar tv. Like having a Spotify jukebox

These are fine I got my digital drums plugged in with them it works out better than two single because they are connected together

Once upon a time, I bought an Alesis compressor/limiter and the only ports on the unit were all 1/4 inch jacks. I bought RCA to 1/4 cables to solve the hookup problem, but those cables weren't gold plated. Over the years, I would have an occasional channel drop out sporadically and then it was always a hunt to figure out which connector was failing to make contact. All you'd have to do is remove and reconnect the cable and it would work again.I bought these recently. Not only does it convert the 1/4 inch jacks to RCA, but I'm hoping the gold plating helps with the connectivity drop out issue. Now I can cable my components with common RCA cables and I apparently have lots of them since they seem to accumulate over time.

It breaks inside the equipment and has rendered 1 connection inside my mixer and 1 connection inside my Radial DI box completely uselessStay away from all of these adapters. You are better off buying the cables which have direct output to 1/4 inch TS outputs
