I recently installed the Dynasty Hardware 8500 Series Door Closer, and it's performing great. This is a heavy-duty hydraulic closer that feels very solid.The adjustable size 1-6 spring is a huge plus, allowing me to fine-tune the closing speed perfectly for our needs. It meets ADA standards, which was important to me. The sprayed aluminum finish looks clean and professional.Overall, it's a very reliable door closer that does exactly what it's supposed to do. Recommended for anyone needing a robust and customizable closing solution.

The product is well made and very heavy duty. It will fit many types of doors which is great, but makes for some complicated reading before trying to install the unit. Once you figure out which part of the instructions matches your type of door, the installation is fairly straight forward. There are multiple adjustments possible unfortunately without a discussion of what they do. Seems to be made for professional contractors who already know how to install. It looks and feels like it will last forever so I give it 5 stars.

We purchased to replace an existing unit that wore out, so I was able to quickly install it. I have to admit however that if it were a new installation, I would still be trying to figure it out. The instructions were poorly written and the figures made little sense. Like a bunch of numbers and lines were dropped on a sheet of paper. The unit is well built and sturdy and I think I expect another 26 years of service with this Door Closer.I would recommend for someone needing a replacement with these dimensions. Allow extra time to decipher the instructions if it is a new install.

The door opener worked well, a little difficult getting to close the right way. That was the most time-consuming issue. Overall it worked great for the price.

These closers really did the job. Easy to install and set up

Our commercial door closer broke. So when i searched for it, i found this as a suggestion. I bought it as it was less than the third of the price of orginal. When we got it. It was easy to install. And came with all different kinds of bolts for installation. And instrucutions we good enough to DIY install. Never had changed door closer in my life but this was really simple.

Prompt shipping.Appears to be a well constructed, heavy duty door closer. Easy to follow directions.Will update this rating if problems surface, but so far this is doing great.

It feels like it's well made (subject to more use).The installation templates were not helpful. After figuring out the unintuitive directions, I installed the unit exactly according to the correct template.It didn't work - the door wouldn't open past 75⁰ with the control arm fully extended.I was able to make it work properly after moving both the door and door frame connections in a way that was nowhere near any of the template options.Accurate, intuitive instructions would have helped alot.
