Conundrum. . . .
When I bought the house, it already had a WKE3000 installed, but it was freezing up. After having a HVAC tech diagnose, he determined un-repairable because a leak in the condenser. So I bought a new one. Had it installed. Now, two years later, it is freezing up again. Warranty is 1 year parts and labor, 5 years parts, customer pays shipping both ways. Expected labor charge is "a couple of hundred". So what to do. . . $100 to get removed, $85 shipping there, $300 to fix, $85 shipping back = $570 to fix on a machine that I can replace for $1303, free shipping. Why would I spend almost half the price on this to get it fixed when I can get a new one. Of course, I would change companies, but the cabinet and ducting are custom made for the appliance. All of this could be fixed with a bit more customer-friendly warranty policy.

Nice unit but when you have a problem, you might as well chuck it out the window because they won't help you.
I have owned 2 of the Breezaire units but cannot recommend them simply because their customer service and service policies are unacceptable. My first Breezaire gave up the ghost after several years and they indicated no warranty and probably not worth fixing. OK, so got another as it fit the hole in my wall for another $1000+. This time the display went blank after a couple years. Called customer service and they said it sounded like a bad display. So I ordered a new display to the tune of $185. Plugged it in and guess what, no display. So I called customer service to see what my options were. None. I could send the whole 75 pound unit back with no guarantee, just "we can check the electronics" Two way shipping on a 75 pound unit? Probably not. Also, they would not take back the new display (Sentinel II) as their parts come with no warranty and nor refunds. Really? So if they send you a defective $185 part, its on you. To be fair, it is on the order form. But who would believe that a company would not stand behind its products. Definitely would look to another company.
