Excellent for 226
(ADDITIONAL INFO)After having my first one (The original review below) was stolen I had bought another of the exact same holster because I loved it so much and I can't imagine any other feeling right. I just got it today and am breaking it in now. It arrived 13 days early (In fact, it doesn't even show it has arrived on the amazon tracking) and the quality is just as good as the first I purchased. Same good old smell and everything.Bottom line. This is my go to holster. I live in Florida, so that is saying a lot of I am willing to wear an overshirt for concealment in the Florida heat. Wouldn't trade it for any other. After reading reviews, I was a bit nervous about this for my Sig P226. I am not sure if it is something to do with the difference in the holster from then to current model or the difference between the p226 to p229 respectively and as of current date. That being said. I have had absolutely no trouble setting this up and having it fit within the first few hours. You have to break it in like any decent holster. But messing with it a bit... I can fit my 226 in there (WHILE MY HAMMER IS RESTED) perfectly. Not days working it in, but just hours.Holds it well and is very comfortable to wear compared to other shoulder holsters. In short.... If you are getting this for a Sig P226... I would completely 100% recommend this.

Galco Miami Classic II Shoulder Rig
This rig is comfortable. I suggest you invest in an extra pack or two of the Chicago screws so you can tighten up the straps and keep them together when they are overlayed and functioning, that is if you don't cut them once you have it fitted to your liking. You do not need another person to help you adjust it, but it helps. Also, when you adjust it to fit do so with the firearm you are going to carry on the holster. I got this rig for my 229. When I got it all adjusted and was comfortable how it wore I tried switching to my 227, only to have to readjust due to the added weight. Would I buy another one or recommend it to others? Absolutely. If you want to feel like Sonny Crockett then go ahead and give it a try. Just remember that this is a cross draw type of holster and accessing your firearm is entirely up to you and your wardrobe choice. Wear one for a little while and you'll be able to figure it out for yourself, which means you should pick one up and give it a try.

Its sufficient but still overpriced.
Its definitely one of the best shoulder holsters available. Its very comfortable and looks to be pretty durable but if I could go back in time I would have purchased an equivalent holster for a third of the price.

Tight fitting Holster
Spent a lot of time, making M11A1 fit this holster. Ended up ordering some DRAW-EZ from Galco. Used half a bottle and things are still mighty snug. Not sure I would purchase this product again. Would probably look for something in Kydex. Much easier to draw and less fuss to make it work (marginally). I want to pull the gun with one hand, without holding the holster with the other. However, can't make it work yet. Maybe another month or two of wearing the rig. -The rig is quite comfortable to wear.

Patience during break-in will be rewarded. You may need some Draw-EZ.
I bought this rig for my P229 with rail. Yes, it fits. Yes, it was tight. When I received it, it was too tight--by design. Follow the instructions for break-in, but know it will take longer than 15 minutes. It took a solid week before I could satisfactorily draw, holster, and close the thumb break. On day one, I bagged the handgun in a ziplock freezer bag and holstered it, DEEP. Each day, I worked it deeper. On day 5, I spread Galco's Draw-EZ througout the interior of the holster. Then I double-bagged the handgun and holstered it DEEP. On day 7, I unbagged the handgun, holstered it, and closed the thumb break, no problem. The holster has a firm grip on the handgun so it won't easily fall out if the thumb break is open. The draw is firm and easy.

Did not fit P229
There is no way that this holster could hold a Sig Sauer P229 with Rail. I even removed the tension screw, I did force the barrel into the holster, it pushed the slide back and cocked the hammer. I spent a long time trying to get my P229 out of that holster. Also the snap can NEVER fit across the end of the pistol, without the hammer cocked. A Sig Sauer P229 is a double action and there is no need to cock the hammer. Very disappointed with this.

Gun just doesn't fit
I have three or four of these Galco Miami Classic II holsters for various handguns and, in general, they are a solid design: good hardware, good look to the leather, etc. However, with this latest purchase for a P229 (no rail), the holster fit has been horrible. I've repeatedly tried to stretch the leather (wrapping the P229 in a plastic bag and letting sit overnight, repeatedly pulling and re-holstering the firearm, then letting sit wrapped overnight again, etc.) and it has helped some, but the firearm is still hard to pull from the holster. At this point it still takes too long to pull and, thus, isn't a viable carry option. I will continue to try to stretch the leather, but the nearly-impossible fit when I first received the holster and failure to adapt after repeated stretches leads me to believe that this holster just isn't cut or design correctly. I have a 1911 in a different Miami Classic II that fits like a glove, with little to no stretching whatsoever.

Tight Fit - Follow Break In Process. Sig P229
My second Galco shoulder rig. This one is for a P229. The fit has been very tight where the trigger guard engages the holster. Like the pistol is 'taller' than expected. Loosening the holster screw does not help. I feel over time the leather will relax and I will be able to extract the pistol easier. Happy with purchase and would purchase again.Addendum: Using the break in process, my P229 fits well and draws from holster as one would expect. I wrapped the pistol with a layer of plastic wrap and followed the break in steps. And then left the wrapped pistol in the holster for two days.
