I ordered two cases one for my daughter and one for my son. They are great cases but as many others have said these do not fit the 2013 kindle fire hd. It was a mistake on my part because in the description it states this case is for the previous generation kindle fire. I did return them and got a refund but still gave it a good rating sense the cases themselves were great. If your looking for a case for the newest kindle, search "all new kindle fire cases" . HTH

the screen is very thick, and makes it hard to sometimes to use, its great for protection for my 5 year old, just wish the plastic on the screen was a little thinner for ease of use.....was half the price of otter so for what it costs was worth it. It fit the HD perfect

I purchased this case and love it! However, the screen protector has lines in it and I'm only able to send it for a refund. Would love just a replacement, but is not an option with this.

It definitely protect the Kindle fire HD tablet. But it is way to heavy and bulky for a child hands.. the screen protector also make it hard to touch the preferred selected icon on the screen.. but over all it protect but adds too much bulkiness..

This is a very nice case. Our Kindle is very well protective. I liked how it covers the whole Kindle even the screen. I didn't have to go and buy a screen cover as well.

I ordered it by mistake, thought it would fit my grandsons kindle fire, but his was an earlier generation and not an HD so I had to send it back.

Heavy-duty protection for my 5-year old. Only one downside is that the protective cover makes it difficult to get the "home" button to pop up from the side of the screen sometimes.

The item was sturdy looking and well made... It went above and beyond my expectations for the price I paid. That being said, do not purchase this item if you're needing a case for the 4th generation Fire HD 7". While the description and packaging says it fits them, it does not work for them. The opening for charge and headphone ports are in the wrong place, and there is no way to turn the device off and on while inside it. I returned the item, and am now waiting for a replacement. Meanwhile, my kids' kindles have no cases and I'm praying the replacement cases get here before anything happens to them.
