I purchased the MR11 articulating arm for use with the Neweer LED 160 light panel which weighs 15 ounces with batteries installed. However, the light would not stay in place no matter how tight I turned the locking knob. Though I was a bit disappointed, the Movo was able to hold my much lighter Tascam DR-05 in place without a problem and this the only reason I am keeping it. The product is all aluminum and does appear to be well constructed but fails in its claim to hold a heavy camera or even a light weight LED light. For this I can only give it a generous 3 stars. I do not recommend this magic arm for anything heavier than 8 ounces.

Does what it says it does!
Does what I needed it to do. Though the collar ring on the ball joint slipped loose, preventing the arm from pivoting, though a simple push with a flat head screwdriver slid the ring back into place and it functions as expected. I'm using it to hold an EVF to my Blackmagic 4K camera setup. Now I had everything set up, I feel I would be better served by the shorter arm instead of the 11" one.All and all, quality build (aside from the ring slip) I'd buy agian.

Weak design - Good material
I discovered that by really tightening the knob that also tightened the ball joints at the ends of the links. I went back to the packaging and looked for some kind of instructions and couldn't find any.It is only by chance I discovered from reading another website that this is how these work - otherwise I would have sent this back.

Solid for light DSLRs
It feels solid with an almost all metal construction aside from the plastic tightening knob. It was able to hold my Canon SL1 with a 10 to 18mm lens on it, while it was attached to my kid's stroller shooting video via a super clamp. My setup is on the light side so I'm not sure if it can hold full frame DSLRs with a massive zoom lenses but it should have no problems with either a remote flash, or and external audio recording device. I've never owned the original Manfrotto magic arm but for 1/3rd the price this product is great buy and may even come close to the original.

Tried to use this arm, attaching my 7" lcd monitor to my dslr cine-rig. Total weight of monitor, battery plate, 2 X batteries was 2.5 pounds. This product could not support the weight. Any movement with my cine-rig and the arm would sway & give so I returned the item. This arm has a max weight load of 1 pound, not for use in any pro-sumer situation.
