AWESOME JUMP ROPE
This jump rope is nothing short of amazing. Super sturdy, and heavy enough to do the job right. Definitely going to get a good arm work out too. If you open the handle and remove the small screw that is screwed into the silicone "rope", you can shorten it very easily. It can be shorted and store the extra piece in the handle. I actually purchased this for my daughter and it definitely needed to be shorter for her. She loves to jump rope and is involved in gymnastics, so the workout and fun combined was a win win for us. If you need to shorten it more than what the handles can hold it is really easy to trim the extra off.

Really good rope for fitness
I see alot of people talk about how hard it is to find a good sturdy jump rope. Well this one is very thick & sturdy. It's easy to change the length by cutting it, and it cuts very easily, not too much effort at all.( BE CAREFUL NOT TO CUT IT TOO SHORT ), after about 30 seconds I felt burn in my arms, and chest so during a full and serious workout this rope will give you the business. Keep in mind that this is a jump rope and at $20, it really helps burn calories and fat if you're truly committed, and if it breaks in a few months I'm just going to buy another. I am sure I will have gotten $20 worth of conditioning out of it. Don't listen to the tons of people complaining about a simple rope not being indestructible. They waste more money on gym memberships that they never use...

Good quality
The rope has good quality and works as expected. Since itโs heavy, it really gives your arms a great workout and is very useful for crossfit and boxing. The only thing I would improve is the handles, which I find a bit too thick. Iโd prefer them slimmer. Overall, itโs a good product, though I do feel itโs a little pricey.

Great rope. Great price!
If you ever wanted to try weighted rope skipping, for under 20 dollars - this is a deal that can't be beat! I weighed mine on a kitchen food scale and it weighs 1.6 pounds. A good enough weight to give you an exhaustive workout. This rope can also be trimmed down if it is too long for you....unlike other over priced 150 dollar rope sets. Mind you, this is an economically priced rope, so no - you don't get no fancy handles with bearings; it's made of plastic - but it works just fine! This company only offers a one pound rope and this 1.5 pound rope. I wish they would come up with a 2 pounder also. Regardless, kudos to the makers or this heavy rope. Great rope. Great deal.

Great weighted jump rope at a great price
Great weighted jump rope at a great price. I would highly recommend this 1.5 lb weighted jump rope at this price point.

My new favorite rope!
This thing is a beast! When I opened the box and saw how massive this rope is I had to workout with it right away! I own a large collection of jump ropes and speed ropes and I always complain about lack of feedback, even with the so-called heavier ropes.. not only did I get feedback, but after just a few minutes of regular jumping I got actual muscle tightness everywhere from my hands all the way up to my traps. After crawling across the finish line that was the 20-minute mark, I felt like I had a great workout everywhere... Chest, back, legs. It's as if I lifted weights and jumped rope at the same time. I am going to work out again in a little while and I already know it's going to be difficult to take tomorrow off. These are the kinds of things that make exercise addictive. Great purchase.

Hard to hold if you don't have huge hands!
The weight was as I expected it, just be aware that those 1.5 lbs are a lot! My wrists hurt for 2 days after I did about 1000 jumps with this rope. Also, the handles are really big so unless you have huge hands, I don't reccomend. You also cannot jump very fast with it as the rope is so thick. Additionally, the thick, heavy rope makes it hurt really bad if you hit your toes or ankles (even with shoes!).

Awesome addition to my fitness arsenal
I started with a speed rope, graduated to a boxer style cable rope and then decided I needed a weighted rope or two. I'd already set up the "perfect" spot to jump in that I have a horse mat I used to cushion my knees and the rope. Like another reviewer, I'm not in the prime of my youth any more so I need to consider these things. My first efforts with both ropes were enough to convince me I'd bought well even though the work itself bested me. In just a week I've been able to double the number of consecutive "run in place"/alternating leg jumps I can do consistently because these ropes slow the arc of the rope down enough that my legs can keep up. The handles are thicker than some of the alternatives and there's no "hinge", per se. These handles are thick and padded. I've had to hold onto the handles tighter and that activates even more muscles. All the various jump rope "experts" out there have too many opinions to count. Personally, I like the firm grip work. It's exercise. The more muscles it works, the better in my opinion. I've used kettlebells extensively for more than 15 years and these ropes work the forearms similar to kettlebells. I haven't had the ropes that long, but I can tell I'm gonna be thrilled with the purchase.
