This was a gift for a child under 10. They really enjoyed the different experiments, especially the push versus pull ones. Being able to show how magnets can attract or repel objects was very neat and is done in a way that kids understand.

My boys had a blast playing and experimenting with this kit. It provides an intuitive hands-on approach to discovering how magnets work. All the pieces in the kit are sturdy and well-made. The guide is very helpful and educational. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to make STEM study fun for the kids.

I bought thid one year for Christmas... it was played with for a little while and then remained in the box for a couple of years, untouched. We did have fun doing the experiments together, so from that aspect, it was worthwhile. I think magnet blocks would get played with more often. We recently needed it for homeschool science experiment, so I was glad we had it.

This fun Magnet set is great for kids of all ages. The included instruction manual contains several fun experiments that can be done over and over again. There are no consumable parts, so really, as long as you take care of it, the set will last for years. Some of the experiments involve items you already have around the house, like paper clips and such. My children, 3, 5, 7, and 8, all enjoy playing with the magnets and discovering "what happens if . . . " This set is a great addition to our homeschool.

This kit has been a hit with my 3rd graders. My students are inner city kids from a variety of immigration histories. Many have never explored magnets. This kit has allowed them to see magnetic forces in action.

My daughter is 8 almost 9 and liked the magnets. I think they are a little bit young for her however she did play with them and had kept them with her magna tiles collection.

My kids really enjoy playing with this alot. And I love it because they're learning well they're doing it and they barely realize how much they're learning because they're having so much fun. It's a gender neutral toy so both my son and daughter who are 6 and 9 can play with it together.

Another great Learning Resources set, really good quality and all the activities are clearly set out in the instructions. Kept a 7 and a 9 year old amused for quite a while, though they did need some parental input at times to keep them right. Would be a cool set to use in a primary school setting too.

This set is very high quality set and brilliant for STEM learning, especially because it’s very educational and about magnetic forces. I used this with my nephew and he was really into it! We did so much on a lazy Sunday afternoon together and he particularly likes the magic floating magnets. Making our own compass was another fun activity we really enjoyed doing and I briefly went over some of the real life STEM careers people have and he showed a bit of interest in that. The booklet is absolutely brilliant and I really like how detailed and fun it is. The kit is jam packed with strings to do and all of the components are made well, strong and durable, easy to assemble and high quality. I think for the price it is superb value for money because of the activities included and how educational it is. The kit is perfectly giftable too so it would make a fab present for a loved one or even just for a family science based play activity. I highly recommend this kit.

My son loves anything to do with science and experiments. He really loved working through the informative booklet that had experiments and information regarding scientific things. For all of the experiments he was able to follow the instructions and it kept him busy for quite a while. The set is aimed at 8+ so perfect for my son although I was surprised at the bold and bright colours as I personally felt that came across as being for a younger age group. My son didn’t care about the colours so clearly just something I thought about. If my son had to pick a favourite he said he really liked the Levitate and Launch experiment. Overall this magnet experiment set was perfect for my son. He enjoyed reading through and following the instructions. Then also talking me through what he did. There is a real fun learning element to this set which I really appreciated. There is a good selection of accessories within the kit. However this set isn’t necessarily a low cost item but if your child has a love of science this could still be the perfect set for them!
