Excellent Reputation and High Quality Surge Protection
Had my old surge protector get "hit" during a thunderstorm. After doing some research I settled on this Tripp Lite. Several different review sights had all good reports on Tripp Lite products. It has 12 three-prong sockets, 2 USB sockets and two coaxial sockets. The material used to construct appears to be very sturdy. I really love the extra spacing between sockets and the different angles which enable me to use more of them as needed. Received my proctectorwithin 2 days of ordering. Set it up this morning and it works perfect. Only time will tell if it survives another electrical t-storm. I'll do a follow-up if there are any issues.

Great All Around Surge Protector
This surge protector power strip is perfect for what I needed. It has numerous outlets, a right angle plug which I needed for USB type A devices and RJ45 ethernet connections. A good all around choice.

Good product
Bought this a few years ago for my pc, monitor, sound system, modems, etc. It held up well over the years, my power tends to go out, never had any of my equipment fried. I have older wiring in my house which makes me nervous for power surges and fires and this product makes me feel safer. I also use it for my space heater, even though you're not really supposed to plug space heaters into power strips. Never had an issue with that even with accidently leaving it on for long periods of time. Only reason I give a 4 instead of a 5 is because I wasn't wild about the layout of the outlets. Plugging in certain things blocks off other outlets. I don't need all 12 of them anyway so it's not the end of the world but I would keep that in mind. Kind of which the wall plug was angled or had a swivel function for how much this thing is. Less expensive power strips offer that. But I do appreciate that it is flat so it doesn't stick out far.

REALLY GOOD SURGE PROTECTOR FOR FIOS INTERNET ROUTER, TV ETC.
UPDATE: ONE of these works pretty well, the OTHER one, UGH!! Only three of the eight outlets work. The other five I AM UNABLE TO PLUG ANYTHING INTO FIVE OF THEM! You need a sledgehammer! My fiancee' is a BIG guy and he could not get a simple, two pronged plug for a lamp to plug into any of the other outlets! Sending back! Great surge protector. I just received and installed them, however, they seem to be of good quality. Verizon totally screwed up my Fios install (shocker). Their tech didn't know what he was doing (shocker again). My electrical outlet was not properly grounded and only accepted two-pronged plugs. The nimrod cut the grounding plug off of a cheap-ass, no name power strip and plugged it in and connected the HUGE plug for the back-up battery to it. Over time, we experienced several outages (almost weekly) and the strip started making a weird noise. That is when I noticed the lights on the backup battery did not say "grounded" or "protected" I purchased the Tripp Lite to see if they worked better. I had to purchase a little, grey GFCI adaptor and screw it into the socket to ground that outlet, and accept three=pronged plugs, but it worked and the Tripp Lite says "grounded and protected". I feel much safer with this than the POS Verizon jerry rigged and left me with. This one also has input jacks for phone lines and TV connections.

Most Bang for the Buck
I have Tripp-Lite protecting all my small kitchen electrics and also a digital piano, but Belkin surge protectors on my TVs and home theater equipment. Recently, my main TV came unplugged overnight — which was strange because the plugs are behind an entertainment center and it had been working when I last used it. When I went behind the entertainment center to fix it, I found another item that I assumed was unplugged but was actually still plugged into the Belkin but but no longer powered. I moved the TV and as many of the components to a small surge protector and then ordered this 12-outlet replacement. I was initially annoyed that despite being a PRIME member shipping was expected to take a week, but fortunately I was able to receive this ahead of schedule. I was skeptical that all 12 outlets could be used once the AC adapters were in place, but everything in my entertainment center hooked up to this surge protector. Upon removing the old Belkin, I literally heard debris rattling around inside. Apparently it had taken a big hit and did its job but instead of completely dying was continuing to give the appearance that it was protecting my equipment. If it weren't for the bizarre fact that my TV came unplugged overnight, I might not have realized what was going on. (Probably saved my expensive SONY TV.) In the Customer Q&A one thing that caught my attention about this product is that it is no longer expected to run once the surge protection capacity is expended. That's a plus because on many surge protectors they continue to operate like power strips even after they no longer have the capacity to protect attached equipment. All three LED lights on my Belkin — red, green and yellow were illuminated but it continued to operate to the endangerment of connected equipment. And since I couldn't see the LEDs behind my entertainment center, I missed the fact that it was no longer doing its job. This Tripp-Lite arrived in the nick of time. It's the highest-rated joules (>4,000) I could find for the price with the most amount of receptacles. Initially I was debating an upgrade to a power conditioner and Automatic Voltage Regulator but none of them had enough outlets and I was cautioned about daisy chaining a surge protector to the back of an AVR. I then very nearly went with Furman (brand used by musicians) but despite describing their products as "line conditioners" their joule ratings were lower (or in some cases not even published) and the RFI/EMF specs weren't any better than Tripp-Lite. All in all, I think this was the most bang for the buck.

Excellent surge protector
Excellent surge protector w/lots of smartly-oriented power plugins, including USB. I've been using it for several years without thought or issue.

So far, so good. Time will tell.
Lots of outlets. With the Etekcity 1 foot extension cords, I'm able to use all the outlets, even those spaced too tight together for the 'wall warts' to fit into the power strip. I like the joule rating. I also like the USB charge outlets with their moderate charge rate. (I do not like to very fast charge my batteries -- I feel it generates too much heat for the battery.) The price was right on Black Friday.
