After spending many hours on line comparing wifi outdoor cameras I opted for the Moobox offering, but was still slightly doubtful since the cost seemed too good to be true for such a wide range of features. I shouldn’t have worried as it’s turned out to be remarkably good value with high quality video, reliable wifi and a much, much longer battery life than I expected.I use it to monitor my long driveway, but after doing some testing I’m now about to order another camera for a much sadder purpose - to alert me if my wife, who has Alzheimer’s disease, strays out of her room in the middle of the night (or even elsewhere during the day!). The night vision is good enough, the movement sensitivity adjustable and the simplicity of the magnetic mount makes installation easy.I had initial difficulties connecting the hub to my Apple Airport Extreme wifi base station, but after some really fast and impressive help from the Moobox tech support team, we found that the hub was being confused by other Airport Express satellite base stations on the mac network. As soon as these were temporarily disabled connection was immediate and surprisingly, the hub has better range than my other devices.All in all, I’ve found the camera/hub and its free cloud storage amazing value and which puts it’s grossly over-priced direct competitors to shame. Great product, great price!

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this camera as a simple, elegant solution to monitor my driveway, which some idiot has recently been allowing their dog(s) to 'exercise' on. I’ve uploaded a short clip from the camera showing on of the culprits to give you a feel for quality.Long-term, I'll probably fit a professional wired CCTV system, but I wanted something for the interim and this fitted the bill perfectly.For the price, it was reasonable and the image quality is not to be sniffed at. Features of the camera/app are very light and should be beefed-up ideally, but at the same time I appreciate the simplicity that this camera offers. It isn't trying to bark with the big dogs.Positives+ Very clear picture quality, especially in daytime. Low-light/night vision is quite acceptable.+ Good wifi signal (although I positioned my hub very close to camera).+ Good overall battery life.+ Included magnetic mount is very strong and easy to use.+ The optional screw mount for the camera is great for added security (my camera is mounted on this).+ Ability to automatically schedule motion detection between certain hours, saving battery life and unnecessary alerts.Areas for Development- This camera can only be controlled/monitored using the smartphone app. No web browser support.- Video clips are not time/date stamped, which is a really big oversight when you think about it.- The smartphone app crashes often. Hopefully this will improve, but the app isn't the best for stability.- You cannot start recording whilst monitoring the camera 'live', it only records with motion detection enabled.- Whilst it isn't 'hard' to setup, it was a bit fiddly - especially enabling the Wi-fi (so properly wireless) mode.I've been in touch with the company to pass on my feedback; I'm pleased to say I received a quick and friendly response and have confidence that they would be on hand for any tech issues, too. There is also lots of help available online, both on their website and within the app.It's four stars for now, but this camera could easily be a five star product if the app can be made more stable and a few features added. I have confidence that it will only continue to get better though.Bottom line, I'd buy this again and may even get another camera to add to my system. You can have up to 4 cameras linked to your hub (which a very small and life a Wi-fi router)

After looking at all the available systems I decided on the moobox Pro XT 1080P camera and hub and have since added a 2nd camera.The system is very easy to install once the cameras are paired with the hub then its just a case of fitting the mounts and away you go.I have the cameras front and rear of my property and there both performing well recording 15 second clips every time motion is detected, the video is of high quality which is good. the cameras are small and discreet not big and bulkyBeing wireless I was concerned that my internet wold be strong enough for the system to work as it should but I was pleasantly surprised the wifi coverage is good .I must say that the magnetic mounts work very well I did buy the screw on mount which is a more secure fixing but the magnetic mounts works fine and can be adjusted to give better camera angles,we have had some very high winds over the last few days but the cameras have stayed in position.The app is also very good allowing remote viewing from any where you have an internet connection so puts your mind at rest if you are out for the day or away on holiday.The other consideration is after service as I did on one occasion notice the recording length dropped to 5 seconds for some reason so I emailed moobox,it was suggested that I do a simple reboot which I did and everything is back to normal but I was impressed by the quick responce of the technical team who are there to help with any teething troubles so what can I say other than I'm very impressed and thinking about adding 2 more cameras,so all things considered I would highly reccomend the moobox camera system as this also includes 7 days cloud storage at no extra cost as well as recordings direct to the hub well done Moobox.
