Great fun and gorgeous illustrations
My six year old who loves reading Matilda adores these cards. They are a good chunky size and we love Quentin Blake’s drawings so they make a beautiful game. The cards provide opportunities for other playful games too and are a great way to discuss parts of the story and the characters. I’m really pleased we got them.

Perfect for practicing spelling
I purchased this game for my 5 year old granddaughter . She loves the Matilda film and loves this game . Especially good quality . She is always asking to play it and it’s a great way for her to practice her phonics and word patterns she’s learnt at school while having fun playing . We’ve had it a year now and is still a well loved game . Great purchase

Lacks legs
We - the kid and I - added this to our collection of card games and played a few enjoyable hands, but due to its simplicity it has quickly fallen out of favour. The kid is seven and the game's simplicity seems to have had an impact. Perhaps it would have more longevity in the hands of younger children.Great artwork, quick and easy to play, fair price, fun while it lasts, but little replayability. And obviously it'll make any Mathilda fan smile. Which is not to be sniffed at.
