The dog food is fine but watch out for Amazon shipping you expired product. I just got a bag that expired in early August and today is 10-13-2025. Amazon immediately refunded me and I reordered to homely get a fresher bag. Why aren't expired products automatically rejected. They must be scanned multiple times.

Golden-Chow mix. I’ve had my boy on this specific food for (I think) 5 years now; he’s 14. The vet recommended I start him on a senior food at about 9yrs and he’s been thriving: still full of energy if not the same agility. Loves his walks and his stool is solid and healthy-looking. Highly recommend.

I have two smaller senior fur friends who are very picky. A 14yr dog, & a 15yr old cat. Both gobbled up it up. I use to supplement between homemade, dry, and canned food. We tried a few freeze dried foods they didn’t like. Yep, very picky.

This is the only brand we have ever feed our dog since she was a puppy. She’s 11 years old now and I am very happy to report she has never had anything but good health.

We started our dog on Core Wellness Senior after trying the small breed version for our shih tzu. Being grain free was a must for us because other foods made her so itchy and gave her nasty red whelps. Both dogs love it and we had them on it for years. Recently, my 3yo shih tzu was diagnosed with struvite stones and we were told they are recurring so we had to switch her to another food. Other than that (and I am not saying that caused the stones) we were pleased with the Core Wellness foods and had added them to our subscribe and save list. The only thing I would change is the senior dog food only seems to come in the 12 lb bag so once in a while we have a gap of a few days where our delivery date is after the food has run out. It would be nice to be able to get a small 4 lb bag for when that occurs, but that isn't Amazon's fault. I can't find a 4 lb bag of the senior feed anywhere.

Was initially worried that this might have been a counterfeit product due to its affordability but the colour of the kibbles look normal and the expiry date of Nov 2021 is more than acceptable. More importantly, my doggo wolfed it down the same way she does her usual kibbles (same brand and type). However, the price has gone up since my first purchase. Will repurchase it if the price is good again.
