My second purchase
I like this flour. I have purchased one time before. It is a good size, was fresh and has a good taste. I use it to coat meat when frying (like pork chops) and dredge again in egg before doing a second dip into gluten free panko. Works well and tastes great (I also use seasonings).

Great in sauces for thickening and stays good after cool down
Great for gravies sauces. Doesn’t lose it thickening hold once heated and refriderated. I bought king Arthur’s all purpose gluten free flour for sauces for my 2023 thanksgiving casseroles and it was a leftover disaster watery mess. This year I used this product exclusively and leftovers weee amazing. I love thanksgiving leftover and this flour.

High-quality flour for my gluten-free cooking
Love the extra fine texture of this product gets rid of the greediness of standard rice flowers. Be prepared to adjust your recipes a bit as the finer texture changes the moisture ratio.

Can't tell it's GF!
This is the greatest gluten-free flour! I've been using it for over 20 years! I use a combination of this flour, tapioca flour and potato starch to make my base flour for all my GF baking needs.

SUPER product!
I've used this brand brown rice flour before, and it is incredibly fine-grind. Wonderful for gluten free baking, along with the superfine white rice and the sorghum flour. It would be great if Authentic Foods were to also offer superfine grind teff and millet flours. I incorporate these into my flour blends (I make my own) so that the products that I bake are more nutritious. Brown rice is nutritious as well but I have concern about the arsenic factor in both the white and brown rices. I did research a few years ago (very time consuming) and learned that rices from California and Canada have a lower arsenic factor than those grown along the East coast of the USA. AF's rices are not cultivated in soil that has been contaminated by arsenic (which was used for years within the cultivation of cotton and other plantations).I strongly recommend trying a bag of this flour (and the white also) if you have been turned off by the grittiness of other brands.I plan on doing a little experiment tomorrow (it is going to snow heavily again, and baking is such a satisfying activity during snow storms).I am going to try a bag of another company, and run it through my Vitamix. I want to see if it results in a finer flour. Regardless, Authentic Foods superfine flour is an excellent product, but I wish that it were priced a bit more reasonably.Have fun baking!

Superfine but a Bit Expensive - Perfect for Gluten-Free Baking and Cooking
This is some very very nice, superfine brown rice flour. I do tons of gluten-free baking and have been looking for a brown rice flour that is as fine (or nearly as fine) as the white rice flour I get from the Asian grocery store (that stuff is so fine it feels almost like cornstarch), because the kind I currently have is far too coarse and gives things slightly gritty texture (I'm not sure the brand, because I bought it a long time ago, but I think it might have been Bob's Red Mill). For me, that's unacceptable, so I've avoided using brown rice flour until I could find a superfine version. Though I would never use brown rice flour exclusively in my baking, it's an essential part of the flour mix for certain types of baked goods, especially brownies, certain cookies, and some heartier quick breads and bars. This brown rice flour is perfect, exactly what I've been looking for, and I've already put it to plenty of good use, with great success in making things loved by gluten eaters and gluten-free folks alike. The one downside: It's on the pricey side. I'm planning to try out Anthony's Fine Brown Rice Flour soon, since you can get 5 pounds of it for $12.99 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PG8RT6O/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3F2AX8CF3HF8O&coliid=IT5LGSLWDFQLZ&psc=1). When I do, I'll compare them and update this review. I'm really hoping Anthony's will come through, since it's so much more affordable.

Super Fine Product!!
I cannot find this locally. We have to eat gluten free at my house so we must have sorghum and brown rice flour every day! Thank goodness for Authentic foods! The superfine grind texture makes this PERFECT!

1 bag isn't enough
If you like baking one bag will not be enough. Great quality. I have a corn and wheat allergy and have been baking with rice flour. I couldn't find a brown flour in stores. I was so excited, had to open it the first day I got it. Most definitely will be ordering again soon.
