Nostalgia !!
This game is best suited for new players and children, as a longtime Pokemon player I found this game a bit underwhelming, still I spent around 60 hrs on it, after beating the game there wasn't much to do, you can shiny hunt for all the Pokemon in the game as there is a greater chance for shiny Pokemon to appear in this game because of the catch combos and catching mechanics. The Online play is just good for trading, there are no ranked battles and you would have to wait for a long time to get a decent online battle, but you can still battle friends. The game doesn't have the sevii island quests like leafgreen and fire Red, I wish it had that but the game is a pure remake of the Pokemon Yellow Version but they removed the safari zone in this game which is a dissapointment. The catch mechanics in this game is a lot similar to Pokemon Go, you can't battle wild Pokemon and you will have to catch lots and lots of Pokemon to progress and level up.Only the natures of Pokemon matter in this game and there are no other complicated mechanics which makes this game great for new Pokemon players. The game has beautiful graphics, the best in a Pokemon game, better than Pokemon sword and shield.I purchased it for nostalgic reasons and I wanted to experience a different Pokemon game and overall it was an okay experience.

Good For Nostalgic Reasons
This is Pokemon's first jump to a home console and for the most part I really enjoyed the game. it's a remake of the gen 1 games, more specifically Pokemon Yellow so various features introduced in later generations are missing from these games. The Pokedex is also limited to the original 151 Pokemon + 1 new one. But that doesn't come in the way of me enjoying the game. What does come in the way though is the lack of a pro controller support for the Switch when docked making it a real inconvenience to play the game in docked mode. The story is the standard Pokemon story where you chose your starter (or in this case the starter chooses you) and make your way to becoming the champion while an evil team (Team Rocket) does evil stuff. The graphics are what really stands out in the game and Pokemon roaming in the overworld is one of my favourite new features introduced. The concept partned Pokemon is really great as well (Eevee in this case) and you gradually grow attached to them as you progress through the game. You can also ride or have Pokemon follow you around which is always fun.Another thing to mention are the catch mechanics which are taken straight from Pokemon GO and are fun for a while but gets really repetitive after a while, still it's not too bad and something that I can live with.

Good Pokémom game.
if you're looking to get into Pokemon franchise, this game is good enough. Although I purchased it mostly for the meltan box trade for Pokemon go, I was hooked.

Let's Go Eevee: A Joyful Journey Through Kanto
Let's Go Eevee for the Nintendo Switch is an absolute delight from start to finish. As a lifelong Pokémon fan, I was thrilled to embark on a nostalgic adventure through the Kanto region with my trusty Eevee by my side.First and foremost, the graphics are stunning. The vibrant colors and detailed environments breathe new life into the familiar landscapes of Kanto, making each location feel fresh and exciting. Whether exploring the lush forests of Viridian City or battling trainers in the bustling streets of Celadon City, every moment is visually captivating. The gameplay mechanics are intuitive and accessible, making Let's Go Eevee perfect for players of all ages and skill levels. The addition of motion controls adds an extra layer of immersion, allowing you to throw Poké Balls with a flick of the wrist and interact with your Eevee in delightful ways.Speaking of Eevee, the bond you form with your partner Pokémon is one of the highlights of the game. From petting and feeding it to dressing it up in adorable outfits, there are endless opportunities to strengthen your connection with Eevee and watch it grow alongside you throughout your journey. The integration of Pokémon GO connectivity is a brilliant touch, allowing you to transfer Pokémon between the two games and even embark on special Pokémon-catching adventures in the real world. It's a seamless blend of virtual and physical gameplay that adds a whole new dimension to the Pokémon experience.Overall, Let's Go Eevee is a charming and immersive adventure that captures the magic of Pokémon in a whole new way. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer to the series, this game is sure to put a smile on your face and reignite your love for all things Pokémon. So grab your Poké Ball and get ready for an unforgettable journey through the world of Kanto—you won't be disappointed!

Nostalgia
Absolutely love it. After 5min I was brought right back to childhood wanting to play through the night. Is it expensive?Yes, but worth every penny. How are the graphics?Unbelievable. Still very true to the Nintendo world. Definitely not 10 pixels like on the old Gameboy color.During battles, the camera angles are constantly changing showing all the Pokémon just like the show.Evolutions are awesome.Gameplay is awesome.I have nothing bad to say about this timeless classic.Only Gen.1 - 150 Pokémon which was a winner for me as I'm only familiar with the OGs.Can't wait to show my son and teach him everything there is to know about this Pokémon Red/Blue reboot.

Excellent starter game for the series
Purchased for my 7yo as a first game on their new Switch console. It's good that I remember how to play red/blue from all those years ago, so that I could give some hints, but overall she managed fine without me. The game has some new mechanics, which resemble the Pokémon Go app on mobile, but I believe that makes it even more fitting for somebody young to enter the franchise. Very happy with my purchase.
